Carla Esparza: On $1,000 sundaes, her boyfriend and would she do ESPN Body Issue

Nice interview. Thank you!

Also. She dates Jon Snow...

Sounds like an interesting lady.

I wish she would have elaborated on this:

"Any woman has had to go through a lot more. It's a struggle to get in that cage, so when they're in there they always put everything in the cage."

From my vantage point, women obviously go through less to make it into the UFC than men do. I would like to see a stat representing the average amount of MMA experience men have in their first UFC fight compared to women fighters.

Champions get flown first class.....back to the cheap seats after her next fight then.?

That's almost certainly not what she was referring to. Instead, she is probably referring to the obstacles of becoming an MMA fighter in the first place being greater for females.

I don't think she fits the criteria for a body issue photoshoot.

It's not a lot more in terms of fight experience, it's a lot more in terms of the stigma attached to fighting and how people will probably look differently at a man who fights for a living than a woman who does the same. I can only imagine how many times people try to rip on them for being "butch" and dumb shit like that.

I would imagine that gold wouldn't taste too good. I think it would have that metallic taste.

This.

Also you make it sound like "she would do body shoot" like someone "would do playboy" or "would do porn".

Most female fighters would blow the ugliest of managers to get in the body issue.
