Capitalism is dangerous to society... my thoughts to fight it

The first post makes me think of a student writing an interpretative essay and just hammering out random paragraphs trying to reach the minimum page requirement, nothing they've written makes any coherent sense at all but they hope it appeals to the teacher.

I'm guessing it's a non-English writer using a Google Translate-like app.

Don't buy into capitalism's private sector savior propaganda.

Thank the government and public research funding for the iPhone. As well as virtually all significant, modern technological advances.

Yep. Most of the truly important innovations come from public funding, funding research is often disadvantageous for entrepeneurs and private companies that have to maximize profits as soon as possible to not go bust. A giant like Apple now spends 13 billions on R&D, and a decade ago it was 1 billion, to put things in perspective the global spending on R&D is 1.7 trillion dollars, most of it public funded.

since you're of good faith I will answer, I can't comment on a single post all the changes I would try to implement as you wouldn't make the same case with capitalism. but a look at socialism would be the best bet at that experiment. although is not bait, I did leave this answer partly unanswered.

Socialism doesnt fucking work, how many times do you people have to be told

Socialism doesn't work and i'm sure the pussified democratic socialism version Bernie practices won't work either. Capitalism isn't perfect but it is the best option to date with a couple of centuries of proof to back it up.
What is really the difference between "democratic" socialism and normal socialism?

Thats the first thing Id ask an enlightened expanded consciousness human if I met one. What do you think of politics? Their silence would be worth the trip.

You understand we’re already a mix of socialism and capitalism?

Some of you gung-ho capitalists and you fuck-the-socialisters ignore that some of our core elements of government are socialist. Some of the ones that you all love.

The police department
The fire department
The military

Those are all paid for from my taxes. I can’t opt out of them. They aren’t optional. They are government entities that operate without competition.

The civilian conservation core filled our country with awesome parks that bring millions of Chinese people to feed our economy. That was a socialistesque program.

Medicare
Social security

We have so many socialist programs that are obviously beneficial to the country as a whole.

It isn’t about socialism vs capitalism
It’s what parts of society do you make socialistic and which parts do you leave up to competition
Thats obvious, no capitalist is pushing for a privatized police force, military or fire department, and the morons pushing for socialism are not content with only the things you mentioned being socialized. Most of them are resentful little worms that want the same things as the next guy, without working hard for them. Basically they want equality of outcome.

From the simple act of criticism the essentials foundations for a change are born, I don’t detract from criticizing a system like capitalism so strong in our society, because I believe in its eventual fall. I also like to challenge society to travel in a path of breaking pre conceived notions and false stereotypes, that disguise themselves as dogmatic in the effort to keep the system working.
.
It makes no sense to just criticize and leave it at that, that would be an easy exercise and even considered intellectual cowardness, but presenting to the “ill-informed” (euphemism intended) populations others realities and open the repertoire of options, is no doubt necessary, its up to the orator if this task is done for personal enjoyment or to express its indignation.
.
The removal of fetishisms from society won’t be the battlefront or the hardest task, if someone believes that the division of power and wealth is fair, paradoxically will also understand that it can be reverted to a equalitarian state. The “gran el dorado” is shared between the system and the (unhappy), it lies inside of us, making this battle one trip to gain consciousness, the question is not if we can win, but how and what tools will we use.
.
The art of shocking the population with breath taking examples was taken from us, projected instead as something regular, part of a problem with no solutions, the banalization of the incorrect and financial eccentrism headed by the media, in our daily conversations, social networks, really take away a useful tool from our arsenal, but when the understandable meets face to face with honest resistance in large quantities, its unpredictability and bulletproof facet starts to fade, and fall like a sand castle.
vote Bernie 2020!
Sorry but all that typography is meaningless. Do you have anything practical to say? Anything tangible? This very much sounds like poetry or something

I’m probably one of those morons who isn’t content with only the things I mentioned being socialized. I work hard and make a shitty resentful worm.

My point is some of those capitalist morons think that only the things that are currently socialized are the right thing to socialize.

They think we chose the perfect things to socialize?
Or they just grew up in a culture where those things are socialized so they find it normal and acceptable?

Gotta admit I think the issue is the later. Every socialist system we have in place they find acceptable because they feel like it’s the make up of America.

It’s the make up of America because in the past as we advanced our standard of living as a culture we have also passed laws and created organizations that are socialist in nature and increase the standard of living for all Americans. Yet somehow any attempts to pass that type of legislation in the modern day is anti American socialism?

Sounds like some people are doing shitty math to me.

Maybe you’re right, maybe some more things need to be socialized and maybe that would improve the overall standard of living. I don’t think of myself as some hardcore right winger, but I was born in a socialist eastern block and it was bullshit. My wife and child were born in socialist Cuba and it’s bullshit. Our life and opportunities in North America are much much better, one doesn’t need to be good at math to come to this conclusion.

Came with nothing and very quickly rose our standard of living ten fold, something we could only dream about in the socialist systems we came from. I was a very average student, barely graduated high school, but today thanks to the opportunity given to me by capitalism I have my own construction business and I do very well. No genius required, just a bit of common sense, be a man of my word, and do a good job to make the customers happy. Provide a good service and people are happy to give you their money, that’s a very fair system in my books. Meanwhile my sister in law in Cuba has a university degree and works for a $1.20 a day, is that a fair system to you?

So again, I can’t say exactly how much socialism is a good thing, and at what point exactly it becomes a complete nightmare like the one we know all too well. All I can tell you is I’ve lived on three different continents, and that one that implements capitalism (with minimal socialism that you mentioned), obviously works best.

So ya I’m not gonna say this is the very best we can do, or that there is no room for improvement. The only thing I can say with confidence is that it’s the best we’ve ever come up with, and it’s not close. So I have no problem with people suggesting that we tweak it a bit to make it better. My problem is the ungrateful idiots who wanna tear it all down because they don’t have the a clue just how good they have it in comparison to any other system that’s ever been tried.

You should move to an actual socialist country so you can do some more research and flesh out your ideas. Your choices are :
1.China
2. Cuba
3. Laos
4. Vietnam
Do hurry because most are not fully socialist anymore.
100 years of failure proves nothing !!! Bernie 2020

Don’t forget Venezuela, I hear that’s a very nice place to live these days.

What do you have against being in control of your own life ? Like why is it a bad thing that i can determine outcomes and quality of my own life based off the the work i choose to put in?
