Most boring fighter in UFC history. That was a great stand up by the ref. Cant wait until Maia retires so we no longer have to watch him hug guys for 15 minutes straight and then run away for the last round because hes gassed. Usually refs shouldn't stand up guys from the full mount. Especially if the action is taking place in the middle of the octagon. But when Maia uses the cage to mount his opponent while doing zero damage from the top it's so boring and ineffective and unbearable to watch. How many fights does Maia have left? Hopefully this was his last.

What kind of MMA fan wants to see one of the best MMA grapplers of all time leave the sport as soon as possible?

Blame his opponents for being so scared that they sit in a defensive position scared shitless to move for 75% of the fight.

He's not boring, his opponents make it boring by going 100% defense when he gets ahold of them, which make it a stalling fight. The fact that his opponents are scared to even try anything and are happy to ride out the round against the fence says how dangerous of an opponent he is.

You're the MMA fan who doesn't like the UFC fighter with the 2nd most wins in UFC history, multiple time title challenger, 7 time post fight bonuses, and the 3rd most submissions. Maybe it's you that is watching the wrong sport, or maybe Maia just isn't your cup of tea, but there's no need to be a dick about a guy as accomplished as Maia.
