can't see youtube links

Hey guys. Youtube videos seem to have stopped showing up/being embedded in other peoples posts. However when I quote them I can clearly see the youtube link. This problem has only occurred recently.

I use the latest version of firefox. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem?
 
You can also try to use Chrome if all else fails, that is my current browser and it works for me.

I just logged on using Firefox on another machine and I can see them fine. You might want to be sure that your Adobe Flash plugin is up to date and running the most recent version.
 
Been having a similar problem on my end too. Embedded videos are appearing as blank white squares. Chrome, Java and Adobe Flash Player are up to date. Checked again with all extensions disabled as well, still no luck.

edit: HTTPS everywhere extension for chrome appeared to be behind it.

anyone know why this is? i can see them on other forums, but not on sherdog's... the [yt} xxx [/MEDIA] links.. embedded vids or w/e

(intentionally did the } there to show the yt thing)

I can't see the videos on my phone either but I click on the empty space where the video is and it loads and plays. Sometimes it takes a few clicks. Some video hosting site won't work though.

Edit: oops sorry I misread your post. I thought you couldn't view youtube videos.

i can see the one that some random guy just posted yet i can't see the ones in the betting thread

sorry, nostromo, i only looked on main page for ctrl + f "youtube" and didn't see anything, should've looked harder

back on topic -- i just looked, it says:

"Your Google Chrome browser already includes Adobe
 
Install it anyway, I find the embedded Flash does not work at times

I have the same problem when I visit the site using my kindle. YT posts are blank. No idea how to fix it.
 
On my iPad all youtube posts are blank........except for those in p&m.

Those in p&m always show up. But not in it other forums.
 
If anyone is still interested I found out what was causing my problems. Turns out Adblock Plus blocks youtube from embedding. You can take youtube off of the filter list and it should work just fine afterwards.

Downloading flash didn't help.
