None of my friends who were into MMA since Pride days watch it anymore. Even the hardcore fans can't deny that there is a huge decline in MMA popularity since the golden days. What went wrong is that there are too many weight classes (nobody cares about sub 155 let's get real) and amateurish/laughable WMMA being showed down our throats. We used to have exciting fighters, now it's mostly point fighting with no new stars. Too many cards with no-names and boring fighters. Before we had so many fighters that fans looked forward to watching, nowadays we only have McGregor who is barely active. UFC definitely needs to change things up or they fade into obscurity within the next several years. End of rant.

On the contrary the UFC is arguably more mainstream than ever before

Agreed 100%. Used to religiously order PPVs or go to bars and support the fights there. These days, I cant be bothered with this WMMA trash (Rose, Holm, Joanna excluded), primadonna fighters ducking opponents, and watered down cards (no name fighters making up 4 out of 5 main card fights).

$60 for this shit? Meh, I'll catch the main event online for free.

The last 3 UFC PPVs I bought were McGregor fights people were willing to pitch in on lol

Same. Started watching from UFC 3 until about 20 more or less. It basically disappeared for a while. I got back into it for UFC 31 and didn't miss a PPV until that wmma bullshit came about.

I won't pay a dime if there is a WMMA fight on the card.

The over abundance of tiny fighters and no-name fighters is also watering down the cards.

Their PPVs might be on the decline. But the UFC is definitely not.

The last PPV I ordered is UFC NaN.

It’s not just the UFC but TV in general has been dropping in ratings and thats bc ppl are still receiving the same content on different platforms. For instance I’ve been keeping up with the Stanley Cup by just looking at the play by play instead of watching the game.

I’m pretty sure the UFC can survive losing you and your “friends” PPV buys.

Always stream unless it's a legit card

And I know

<{danayeah}>

But it should be illegal to charge 60 bucks for one decent fight and some fight pass level talent

The last one I paid for was 217

Its been going downhill badly for quite some time now.
