I've heard a lot of people talking about how they feel the MMA scene in Canada has been diminishing in recent years. I don't believe that's the case. Of course there's the Rory Macdonald's and Patrick Cote's of the world. Who else is out there in the great white north? Below is a list of fighters that would do well in UFC or Bellator IMO.

Kyle "The Monster" Nelson (25) 5'11'' 145 lbs
Kyle is a huge FW with half of his 6 wins (6-1) were by finish. He recently lost a title fight in Triple X Cage fighting-Legends 6 to Adrian Hadribeaj (5-1). "The Monster" will be a very exciting FW to watch come up the ranks in the coming years.

Jesse "The Ghost" Gross (28) 5'7'' 145 lbs
Jesse is currently 10-4 overall as a pro. Lost by submission in his solo Bellator fight in 2011. Has gone 4-2 since then, with another first round tko loss to Daron Cruickshank. Jesse is a little rough around the edges, but with the right match ups early on, I could see him growing into a top FW in Bellator or Top 15 LW in UFC in 2-3 years.

Josh "The Gentleman" Hill (29) 5'6'' 135lbs

Josh (14-1) fought in WSOF twice going 1-1, it does not appear that he is under contract with WSOF though as he has competed elsewhere. Since "The Gentleman" had his sole loss to Marlon Moraes in WSOF in 2015, he's gone 4-0 fighting all over the globe. IMO Hill could really make some waves in the UFC.

Jared "The Yeti" McComb (32) 6'1'' 185/205 lbs
Jared is 8-4-1 overall as a pro according to sherdog. Jared went 2-3-1 in MFC between 2012-2014. 4-2 in his last 6 fights. 7 of "The Yeti's" wins are by finish. McComb vs. a guy like Chris Camozzi in the UFC would be entertaining as hell IMO. He's big enough to fight a LHWT as well.

Ryan "Sylvan Lake Strangler" Machan (32) 5'11'' 170 lbs
Machan is 24-9 overall as a pro. with all 24 wins coming by way of finish, 17 by submission. Seriously 100% finishing rate. 8-0 in MFC, 4-1 in Havoc FC. Ryan would be a very underrated addition to Bellator or UFC's roster. Ryan Machan vs. Patrick Cote (23-9) sounds like a great match up.

Any other prospects out there worth mentioning?

Josh Hill was on TUF 18. Beat Paddy Hollohan to get in the house and lost to some guy named Michael Wooten. Although that was 3 years ago, He has looked improved since.

Hakeem Dawodu has looked pretty beastly, he's coming off a draw in his last fight. All of his fights have been in WSOF.

Yeah i think he's improved a lot since fight. Great overall record.

Frankly i'm pretty surprised that Machan hasn't fought in the WEC or UFC before.

Jonathan Meunier, 28, 6-0, all finishes, free agent
Hakeem Dawodu, 24, 5-0-1, already in WSOF so I don't know if he counts
Andrew McInnes, 31, 6-1, has fought for WSOF, is fighting Gallicchio today in Canada

Jonathan Meunier, 28, 6-0, all finishes, free agent

Yeah I didn't include Hakeem, bc he's in WSOF.

McInnes and Meunier both look tough as hell though.

TJ Laramie (3-1) is one to watch. He has some wild hand speed for his age. Still only 18, he should be 4-0 after his last fight but lost a decision to foreign judges. Give him 3 years and he'll be a monster at 135.

Kyle Prepolec (9-4) is better than his record shows. Hes lost fights to big league fighters like Kevin Lee, Jason Fischer, and Alex Ricci. In his last one he upset an up and comer with a lot of steam behind him in Adrian Hadribeaj.

Aiemann Zahabi (6-0) could still be a promising prospect but he needs a drastic step up in competition.

Don't forget about Jeremy Kennedy (7-0) either. He got pretty far in the last TUF tryouts but was cut last minute. He's fighting NW US veteran Drew Brokenshire in a couple weeks and if he wins that one, I think someone should give him a shot.

Has anyone heard what Brandt Dewsbery (15-3-1) is up to?

Nobody cares about Canada or Canadians

T.J. Laramie is one fighter to keep an eye on. Awesome kid with a great attitude.

That's a little Harsh....

Nodoby cares about Rory or GSP?

GSP yes, Rory, yes. That's pretty much all Canadia has produced. It's just cold and you ppl need to stick w your mooses and leave us hard working americans alone or we'll build a wall around you too!

Aiemann related to Firas?

Kennedy and Dewsbery look tough as hell.

Patrick Cote, David Louiseau, Mitch Gagnon, Jason Macdonald, TJ Grant, Ryan Jimmo, Sam Stout...etc

There's been plenty of tough fighters out of Canada!

Sounds like you're worried they're going to come take fights away from American fighters though eh?
