I think we have reached a point of no-return on identity politics and only a country where people have been brainwashed has a prime minister talking about "peoplekind", mascerading around mimicking Hindus and where federal employees are handed instructions to not adress people by "Sir" or "Madam".
If such things are allowed to fly, it tells loads about the population and I am afraid that you can't go back to normal.
In a hugely diverse country, you don't just go back from Trudeau style of adressing communities separately because a huge minority of the population now expects it.
I believe you live in Canada so perhaps you don't realise it, but Canada has become a running joke for EUropean media.
You may say "oh but who cares about such details" and you might be right that in absolute terms, these are details. However, in Canada, where there isn't any real project / problem / poverty / war / challenges, do not be fooled into thinking that average people are preoccupied by higher things.
The country has a proportion which is way to high of :
either 1) minorities who don't identify with Canada or
2) "native" Canadians that identify with the countrybut are batshit progressists.
1 and 2 will continue voting for Trudeau.
