How are my brothers up north doing? I hear there are some bad wildfires in Canada!

The air quality in Northern states is Horrendous! There is a gray smog covering everything! It's bad here in New Jersey, and bad in New York too!

We are in Orange in PA. No idea what that means, the local weather website is pretty fucking vague about poor air quality and pollution concentration. Like seriously, WTF?

Its crazy. You can literally see the air. Its hazy, and has a weird smell. I live down by the river so i think all the dense air travels along it, so its probably worse near my house then anywhere else in the area.
 
We have a grey smog here in the middle of Pennsylvania too. Even smells like a campfire outside.

Some US cities are now in the top 10 worst air qualities. Damn, can't believe India is still leading (by a large margin!)

Yeah, same here.

I noticed it smelled smokey when I first went out! To anyone who was in NY or NJ around 9/11, was there a distinct smell? If so, how long did it last?
 
I'm in PA about 40 miles from Jackson, NJ and its smoky as fuck from the wildfire.

Smells like burning pine.

Last I heard, it was almost 100 acres burning and isn't expected to be under control until tomorrow.

Its weird you and a few others from PA think it smells like smoke. Where i am in PA it kinda smells like those smoke machines that i think use dry ice? Almost a sweet smell. Not an acrid smell like a campfire.
 
Shit like this scares me because imagine if this was nuclear fallout from a power plant or some shit. We would be fucked.
 
Going across lake Erie now and the horizon is hazy af. I can smell the smoke...

I was in Calgary about 3 weeks ago. I think that’s when the wildfires started.

Ashes were falling from the sky and I could smell the smoke. I didn’t think it would last this long.

It’s also true what they say about Canadians, friendly as hell and super nice.
