I would definitely be out of my fucking mind if I found out a week before a fight, on the night before Christmas Eve, that the fight I had tickets, plane and hotel booked for, was moved to a different state.

What a fucking circus.

I assume the UFC will take it up the ass to pay for for flight and hotel accomodations for the fighters and coaches and corner people, but they apparently don't mind fucking all of their fans over.

Anyone have plane tickets to Vegas for this event? How do you feel about this decision?

This fucks over:

Fans

Other fighters and their teams

Casinos which will lose the business they would have had from a few thousand people coming to town.

Hotels in Vegas which will be overwhelmed with calls, cancelation requests and possible massive vacant/refunds depending on hotel policies.

Airlines and their staff dealing with irate customers asking for refunds/transfers on a weekend that is already a very busy travel week.

Gus will be fighting a guy allowed to use steroids

205 Contenders who could have filled in on short notice

And, as Dana loves to say, "the list goes on and on"


What a joke of a company. Both the UFC and USADA. Zero credibility.
 
You're still in Vegas, I am sure you'll find something to do.
 
I have to imagine less upheaval if Jones was removed from the card than wjat they are doing.
 
To be fair, you should know what you're in for buying tickets for a Jones event in the USADA era.

To be fair this is the first time in ufc history that a fighter has tested positive a year and a half later for the same banned sample that was a mind blowingly minuscule amount to begin with. First time in ufc history. That’s the fight game.
 
So they are already moving the event and haven't even reached out to Gus to see if he is even willing to fight a guy with PEDs in his system? Bush league.
 
So maybe don't be a Gus fan from Sweden booking fight, flight, hotel accomodations, etc. when you know Jones might piss dirty and the fight gets moved out of state? Duh.

That depends. When I was 19-30 or so, maybe.

I have had enough Vegas for one lifetime. Been there, done that. Had all the crazy Vegas experiences I would ever want and then some.

I don't really give a shit about those type of cheap thrills anymore. I'd go for a big fight or a friend's bachelor party, other than that, I'm done with Vegas. And I know quite a few people that feel the same way.

That's the story they are running with. Is it even possible? Turinabol has a half life of 16 hours. The amount they found a year and a half ago was already miniscule. This does not seem possible. Would need a scientist to weigh in. Someone not affiliated with USADA.
 
Cut Jones and throw another top 205er in vs Gus. Fucking disgusting, I hope this really hurts the UFC as a business.

How about just a UFC fan who would want to see a rematch of arguably the best title fight ever, on a weekend when you might have vacation and your hypothetical kids aren't in school?

Friends/family/team mates/training partners of any fighter on the card?
 
I have no idea what they're thinking. It's like Dana got pissed off that he couldn't berate NSAC into licensing the fight so he's trying to take his ball and go to CA. They're fucking over dozens of fighters and their teams and tens of thousands of fans all because one guy can't get his shit together. The only things guaranteed about Jon Jones is that he'll win fights and fuck up literally everything he touches outside of the cage. It sucks that probably the best fighter the sport has ever seen is a complete and utter fucking failure at life.
