Whittaker definitely didn't destroy his body to make welterweight. He fought for 6 years at welterweight and never missed weight in 16 pro fights. He also made weight in his 2 exhibition fights on the Ultimate Fighter, which included a rapid turnaround in between.Uhhh yeah ur missing quite alot actually. Whitaker destroyed his body to make WW, when u cut that much weight, ur way more susceptible to getting KO'd. Look at all the bombs he took from Romero. Weight cutting limits fighters, but they just gotta have that "edge". Look what happened to Dillashaw
After deciding to move up to middleweight, he put on more muscle mass. So he is a lot bigger now than he was before. Back when he was a welterweight, he was a fairly normal size for the division. He wasn't doing a crazy cut like Rumble.
