Does Aldo have a shot against the man who took his belt in 13 seconds? Or does Mcgregor just have his number?
What say you Sherdog? Who will in the the eventual rematch?

He can, but I'm not sure he will. I guess a big factor will be how well Conor manages his weightcut now when IV's been banned.

McGregor is always going to be a bad style match up on the feet but if anyone could work around that it's one of the all time greats. If he can keep a level head and fiight like he did against edgar, Aldo has a good chance of taking the belt back.

Yes he absolutely can. Though I rewatched the short fight several times and I can say I'm still concerned about the size and reach advantage McGregor has in a standup war.

That type of KO i dont think its something easily replicable, that would mean Conor has his number and Aldo wouldnt make it out of the 1st round, i´ll say no, Aldo still has a very competitive chance, people has been saying that Edgar might beat Conor for a while, well, Aldo had not much problem beating him, i can see it being competitive with Conor, who we know now cant go 5 rounds at full speed, Aldo did last saturday.

As long as hes focused he'll do fine, Wouldn't be easy but he'll get back his belt.

He can let the mental warfare get to him again. He can beat conor, if he fights patiently like he did against Edgar.

It's hard to tell. Not much to go off from the first fight. Would have been interesting to see had the knockout not occurred.

I honestly don't think he's headed back to featherweight.

Especially now that he's going to have two sequential fights without making the hero cut - essentially a year off. Going back down is going to be misery.

Aldo looked like an assassin against Edgar, though I'll say that!

YES. Just read jack slack's article about frankie/aldo 2 and im convince that if aldo fights like that against irish jabroni he will win.

McGregor by KO.

Aldo looked great, but he did get hit a fair bit and he will not have the size advantage against McGregor.

The rematch is very interesting, Aldo now knows McGregor can be beat and McGregor will most likely be going in on a 2 fight losing streak.

It seems like he was a bit gun shy against Edgar. He caught Edgar while backing up a lot the whole fight, but then Edgar presents a huge risk for the takedown so I can't really judge how he'd fight Conor.

Conor has the distinct size/reach advantage so all those short hooks that Aldo peppered Edgar with wouldn't work since Conor is in and out of the pocket typically. If the slow, plodding version that tried to outbox Nate shows up then I can see Aldo winning.
