Recently in a press conference Diaz said that the UFC will use him to build fights because the divisions are lacking talent and brawlers, when asked about how he feels the Silva fight will propel his career and possibly grant him a chance at the belt.

He did not sound like he expects a victory at all, nor had any real chance of a victory... ie Conor and Siver.

As much as I love hearing about the great white hype... it's time to talk Anderson a bit.

What are your predictions for the fight?

I think Anderson starts out like he used to...slow and methodical, gauging Diaz distance and movement. Diaz will come forward. Anderson will figure out the openings, pounce, and end with a KO/TKO.

Per Dana White...Anderson will get a title shot. What I didn't see what which division...maybe his title shot comes against Jon Jones? Super Fight?

Do you think Silva can make Featherweight? Mcgregor would be game.

    AS by KO.

And since this thread is about McGregor, I admit that I no longer doubt him.

that title instantly turns your Silva thread into (yet another) Conor thread.

    good luck with that one...

edit: Anderson by TKO, maybe 2nd or 3rd..

No, lets talk about Conor and Aldo and who will fight Conor for his first title defense. Then we can develop on who will be his first opponent when he moves to LW.

It was interesting to hear Diaz talk like he is just a sideshow and promo for Silvas comeback...

I am not sure how it made me feel.

    LOL, now seriously..

I think Diaz chin will be the dominant factor..

This will be another fight when opponent will not run from Silva and Silva is going to have hard time dealing with Nick. His chin was already cracked and we all know how ferocious is Nick with his strikes when opponent doesn't try to ran away (yeah Silva is another guy who I don't expect to run away from encounters)

I like both fighters and really don't want any of them to loose but Nick will pull the win, making lot of AS' fans sad and Dana shitting his pants in the process..

This will be bloody and great fight and anyone who thinks otherwise is not proper follower of JUST BLEED GOD!

Seriously tho if AS was 155 or less, i would take Conor. Faster and more power.

Silva "fans" regularly dismiss the Weidman victories as flukey and that they happened because Silva is past his prime.

So what exactly is Silva's relevance anymore? He's been relegated to "a fighter that used to be champion" by his own "fans". Are they now contending that Silva is still relevant to the championship conversation?

There is no logic in Silva conversations anymore.

Well I can't edit my post so I will add another one (Come on mods un-infraction me already ;D)

Only way for AS to win this fight is to Condit Diaz somehow..

Nick is tailored for aggressive fighters..

The best part of this match up is that both fighters are extremely entertaining to watch perform.

I expect Anderson to end this match in the mid-to-late part of round 1.

He'll be trying to make a statement with this fight and he's had a lot of time off to get back in shape and feel the hunger to compete.

Hopefully old age hasn't robbed him of his chin and reflexes.
