Can we stop the whole "Ronda is scared of Cyborg at 140" talk??

Why does the champion, have to move to meet an opponent? This is not the way it works.

Citing Anderson doesn't really buy it for me, the fights at 205 were basically tailor made for him to embarrass his opponents. They never fed him to a contender for a good damn reason.

Ronda is scared. She dosent want the fight because she will lose. She just beat a title contender who wasn't even TRAINING in ANY sport 3 years ago. Ronda isn't ready for cyborg

This is hilarious. Borg is fed on comp at a D level. Ronda knots her inside of a single round.

She had spite for most of her opponents already...& she will keep fighting them.

She's willing to move up to fight Gina Carano, who's ass Cyborg already retired.

She also can't go a week without bitching about Cyborg.

Out of spite my fucking ass.

Ronda comes out saying she will beat up mayweather but won't fight cyborg. No respect for that.

Is Cyborg that steroid cheater who admits she can make 135, says she is doing it, then never does because she's just not that good?

For fucks sake... the UFC DOES NOT... NOT... REPEAT NOT HAVE A FUCKING WOMENS DIVISION OVER 135. Fucking deal with it.

GSP never left 170 and didn't have to.

Cyborg is a proven cheater, and if she wants it bad enough, it could be done. Until then, there is no fucking point in this.

Rousey is scared to fight at 140. Cyborg is scared to fight at 135.

Does that sum up your position?

Neither of them are scared; they're both trying to tilt the field to their advantage. And why not? They're not sisters, neither owe anything to the other. Why should either give in to the other's conditions?

They don't even like each other; helping the other out by changing weight (Cyborg has to lose 10 pounds of lean mass or Rousey has to gain 10 pounds of lean mass for them to be the same weight at cage time) is something people do for family members or very good friends, not for someone they don't care for.

Ronda would have to gain 18lbs of muscle to be Cyborg's size at 145. At 135 cyborg wpuld be about 8lbs bigger vs. Ronda's usual weight.

Of course Ronda is scared of Cyborg, it doesn't matter what weight.

I mean, let's look at facts:

Cyborg's 3 most notable wins are Carano and Coenen x2. Carano was 7-0 with a signature win over 16-13 juggernaut Julie Kedzie. It doesn't matter that Kedzie is the only name anyone's ever heard of out of Gina's wins and it's only because Kedzie managed to somehow find her way to the UFC, Gina is a pioneer and a legend so we are going to give that win a lot of importance for Cyborg. Now Coenen is a legendary grappler in the world of MMA and Cris has stopped her TWICE now. Once in the 3rd and once in the 4th round. I mean, sure Coenen was subbed in the third by Tate (who Rousey has easily handled twice) despite having a size advantage, but that's irrelevant. We will act like those two wins are amazing and make Cyborg an unstoppable machine.

And okay, fine, Ronda subbed Cat in 14 seconds and Cat has a stoppage win over Meisha who subbed arguably Cyborg's best win in Coenen but still, we just need to accept that Ronda is super duper scared despite impressively dismantling far better competition than what the person she's allegedly scared of has even faced.

Oh boy! I'll just put this here then.

Ronda ain't scared of Cyborg!

There are not enough quality 145 pound females out there to justify starting a division in the UFC. The 135 division is already weak as it is, so adding another division would just make things worse with the female fights.

Cyborg does not a have a division in the UFC unless its bantamweight. UFC is not going to make a special a catchweight fight or allow Ronda to move up to 145 for just one, maybe two fights in Invicta. That would be bad for business. Ronda would have to leave the UFC and vacate her belt. If Cyborg beats Rousey, then where do they go from there? Cyborg still has no division in the UFC and Rousey is a lame duck former WBW champ. Risk outweighs the reward.

Gracie vs Hughes was mentioned... Royce Gracie is a UFC legend hall of famer and deserves respect. Gracie was up there in age so the chances of him beating Hughes were slim. The reward outweighed the risk. Also, lets say Gracie did win, then he could of fought again, if he wanted to, at higher weight class because 185 Middleweight existed.
Cyborg is a known cheater, deserves no respect and she is still in her prime. If Cyborg wins, there are no fights to be made in the UFC, it would just be more fights in different promotions for her because no womens featherweight division exists in the UFC. It's really quite simple, she either cuts the weight or stays where she is.

End of debate

What's the latest with Cyborg?

Is she cleared to fight since shooting up with steroids?

Is she even in the UFC yet?

Last I heard she said she is moving to 135 and all the Ronda haters got scared.

Ronda vs. Cyborg in any context is fucking leaps and bounds better than the relentless onslaught of Ronda vs. (insert male here) threads.

At least they hold some relevance.

Say what you will, but women pay higher attention to certain types of detail and have much better memories for those details than men. That's not a guess, that's the result of psychological studies on the topic.

They do remember certain things that men don't, see things that men don't, and are more likely to take those events into account when making decisions than men.

http://news.cornell.edu/stories/2013/06/study-uncovers-why-women-remember-events-better

Ask a woman about your first date and they'll tell details that are only vaguely in your memory. They'll also remember the last time you made them feel happy or sad and the exact circumstances leading up to it.

It doesn't make them petty or evil, just psychologically different. And how they deal with conflict is also different. Partially cultural, partially physiological... it is what it is. It doesn't make them better or worse than men, just different.

If a woman is the type to hold a grudge, she can hold onto it a REALLY long time. And because of how women's memory works, will be keeping a little scale in the back of her head keeping track of who's ahead/behind in the payback game.

Of course it makes them petty and vindictive man. If a person is always focusing on little spites then that makes them petty. Furthermore storing away all those little hurt feelings for years and then pounce when the opportunity presents itself to get even is vindictive. You saying women are programed that way doesn't make it any less true. And yes those are bad traits to have.
