can we get some Fedor/UFC news PLEASE!!! the wait is killing me...

This is why I am not sold on the negotiations.
There has not been a single rumour or any body saying a word about anything when it comes to Fedor.
Normally we would get shit loads of leaked info or something from a "undisclosed source" and what not.
But this time.. its dead silence.

 

Not news, But came across a tweet last night saying that Fedor vs. Brock is being concidered for the UFC 200 card. (That's if Brock comes back of course.)

The heavyweight division is extremely bad right now. they would kill to get Fedor. The hw divison hasn't been this bad in years.

 

Lets be honest though. The loss to Werdum was a total miscalculation on fedors part. He was totally suckered into jumping into werdum's guard.

Don't even get me started on that total fluke of a fight against henderson. Fedor had him hurt and was pounding him out, when henderson by luck or chance got in back of fedor and landed a punch underneath. and the fight was stopped way too early. either way, that henderson fight is the epitome of a fluke. Plus, we all know fedor wasn't fighting nor probably training the same anymore. His bodily appearance showed it.

 

yeah, this silence is really making me think UFC negotiations are in full flow. Fedor said on a Russian MMA site that Bellator was never really in consideration, so i can't see anywhere other than UFC that he would be interested in going. I think the fact that the HW div is full of ex-Pride fighters (Hunt, Werdum, Nog, Barnett), plus seeing Arlovski making waves and knowing that Fedor decimated him, just makes me think that Fedor probably reckons he can take them.

Of course, lots of haters and people only into Fedor at the end would think that there is no way he can hang with the likes of JDS and Velasquez, but a few pics i've seen of him recently indicate he's in pretty mean shape (for him!).

I personally could see him giving most, if not all, of the UFC HW div some problems. I'm not saying he would tear through them, but to write him off as not even having a chance to be competitive is ridiculous.

I would love to see him back, and shutting up the haters by destroying Werdum and taking the belt, after a warm up or 2.

Not been this excited for the HW div in ages.

People are always gonna bring up Hendo (who can KO anyone at any time, esp on TRT), and Bigfoot (TRT-loaded) fights, but i can see things being different with his comeback.

I hope it happens.

 

Well they might not considering that in reality Fedor isn't some major boxoffice draw that'll get them >1 million ppv buys. Outside the hardcore fans and Russia just about no one knows who Fedor is.

 

Honda idolises him, so if he does sign she will do all the hard work for the UFC by just talking about how he is the GOAT.

then all the wee shertards will jump on the wagon...

at least they will be justified for once.
