Something along the lines of "Don't spam the forum with 198714982749 million fightnews.com announcements"

Those in favor ?

Those opposed?

Meh.. nit picky.. who cares if a couple guys try to alert everyone the moment a story hits?

I actually don't read fightnews, I don't see what the big deal is. We can't discuss it here because its on fightnews?

I'd rather see an open sticky about upcoming fights.

Thats a great idea. Perhaps fight results as well. It could be the same list even. Just a monthly list of fights that gets updated as the bouts are completed.

Might be a hand full though. Still a cool idea

Theres like 7 threads about fightnews by one guy. Maybe he works for fightnews.

It's no big deal really. At least this time Jmyers is actually a good poster who discusses things. In the past with this, they normally just spam and don't even conversate.

My apologies for posting so much fightnews stuff.
It's just that I see the stuff on there and don't know if everybody knows it or not, so I post it. If there was a way to link to the item by itself, I would just post a link. But you can't do that, so I copy and paste. I do think a Sticky for Upcoming Fights and Fight Results would be good and I'd be glad to post in there whatever things I see or hear about.

I don't mind copy-pasting, just chill on the amount of threads in a day.

OK.....I will try to restrict the copy-pasting. I'll just paraphrase anything I see that might be newsworthy.....speaking of which, anybody know who won the Ward-Williams fight?

No you can copy-paste. I prefer that to linking as it makes it look like spam. We've had a problem with fighthype and other site employees registering here, posting a single tag-line, then a link to their articles.

Sherdog.com doesn't appreciate that as a News site because they're not paid sponsors of the Boxing Forum.

No problemo. I'll try to find a middle ground......

How does Fightnews actually work?

In the past, it looked like reprinting of press releases from promoters.

Now, it looks like press releases from the WBC.

Years ago, I used to go to Fightnews daily. It seems so different now.
