Goddamn this was the best era of TUF and the UFC in general. Song gets me amped every time I hear it. They should've never got rid of it. TUF was so much better when this intro'd every episode and you had a mix of nutcases like Junie Browning, oddballs like Corey Hill, legit talent like Rashad Evans, and bang bros like Julian Lane on the show. Nowadays it's generic boring guy #452 who goes on to unimpressively win the show and then go 1-3 in the UFC and get cut. Bring back this intro and quit looking for the next star, those days are over. Load the house up with idiots and give them plenty of booze and maybe TUF will be revived somewhat.

YOU'RE GONNA GET HIT, YOU'RE GONNA GET KNOCKED OUT!!!!!!

With the growth in popularity of the sport it's harder and harder to find guys like Junie and Bang Bro who live like lunatics and make it to that level. Too many athletes out there now taking the sport seriously means less authentic villains, and personalities as a whole really.

You can't blame them, but we cherish those we lost along the way.

On a side note, how great would Platinum Mike have been on TUF?

I mean i liked it because of the show, not cos the song was any good. Its actually a pretty shitty song hahaha.

As i said before, the Nu Metal/Doritios N Mountain Dew era of UFC has not aged well.

Theirs ALWAYS going to be nutjobs coming into MMA. They might not all want to be on TUF tho.

Poor Julian. I hope kids didnt call him Julie in elementary. There was one named Sue.

I liked the music but could have done without the rapping. Way better than the ESPN music imo.

Amped for what, if I may ask my friend. To sit on your soft couch and cage wrestle with the TV and your lamp.

The problem with TUF now is the level below the UFC is closer than it ever has been. It is why DWCS has been an easier path for UFC.

I am interested to see how the UFC works this to make it worthwhile for professional fighters to appear. I also want to see how they create the silly TUF drama reality TV moments which made the series popular in the first place.
