I wasn't really paying attention and I'm trying to piece it together from different articles but I'm not understanding.

Conor is being a spoiled little girl. Her parents are fed up with her little shit fits.

He lost to Diaz.
He decided to run away to Iceland the weed capitol of the world.
He started to think cameras and microphones were trying to choke him out.
He retired.
He un-retired.
He is spouting nonsense tweets.
You make the conclusions.

Conor thought he was bigger than the UFC even after his recent loss.

He isn't.

Conor...

> Connie gets unwarranted rematch against Nate

> Thinks better of it.

> Muh Media obligations, muh training time, don't get paid for this, blah blah amongst many excuses

> DUCKS Nate

> Gets called out

> reconsiders, but Dana's done giving into his temper tantrums

conor has announced he will fight ronda in womens bantamweight and with full support of ido portal he is transitioning into womanhood to complete his ascent to female gymnast status

dana is philosophical about having said that fallon fox couldnt compete in wmma, cryptically claiming that "we've never seen anyone like connie mcgregor"

gunnar nelson is still hanging round like a spare prick but john kavanagh has left mma and bought an ice cream van, location unknown

michael bisping has offered connie 2.0 a fight at a catch-gender, connie says they'll need to discuss it with their team

He is ducking Nate at 200. He rage retired as a cover. Painted Zuffa into a position in a corner where they had no choice but to remove him from the card. So obliging Conor, they sat his ass down.

Conor is of course blowing smoke every fucking where. Begging to get back on. But of course that's a ruse. His nut fleas are buying every bit of it. He wants to fight. Zuffa is not allowing him to fight ... blah, blah, blahhhhh.

He's the most illegitimate champ in Zuffa's history. And the biggest duck as well.

NEVER going to headline 200. And told by Dana he's not doing MSG either.

I think that's accurate, concise, and up to date.

I'm sure TS will get an honest, objective answer here.

He was being a diva acting like just because he lost he deserves special treatment (not showing up to press conferences) and dana and lorenzo let him know that if he doesnt show hes off the card. he didnt show and got made an example of.

Nate Diaz retired Conor Mcgregor, he's scurred of getting bitchslapped again

Conor McGregor views himself on the same level as the UFC, and as a partner, not subordinate, due to the amount of business he brings them. Their recent success is largely tied to him, with him being responsible for a large share of the revenue.

The UFC has all of its fighters go through a string of media obligations. TV talk shows, Radio shows, press conferences.

Conor feels that he isn't just some regular employee, and thus he doesn't want to do the regular media run. He wants to decide what he media he wants to do. He feels a lot of the media is in poor taste and/or pointless, for example that shitshow on Good Morning America this morning. He's particularly dissatisfied with these media obligations for 3 further reasons:

First is that he's had to do more media than any other fighter, so he's naturally more burnt out than others. Second is that he delivers original content in media appearances, whereas other fighters give stock answers, so he has to work more in his obligations. Third is that he has stepped up in times where other fighters haven't in accepting short notice replacements, so he feels he deserves leeway for that reason.

All of this is exacerbated by the fact that he's just suffered his first UFC loss. Conor is a fighter fueled by his own extreme self belief, so it's especially important for him to focus on correcting the holes that were exposed in his game in the Diaz fight.

The UFC doesn't view Conor as an equal. He's just another employee (technically he's an independent contractor), albeit one who produces a huge amount of revenue for them. They want to keep him in line with the other fighters, so don't want to make too many exceptions for him. In some ways, I'm sure they've made some exceptions already. But they weren't happy with his requests this time around, so they pulled him from the card. The UFC has chosen to take a big short term financial hit, in order to avoid setting a bad precedent.

On the surface, this is a negotiation about media obligations. Behind that, it's a power play between promoter and fighter.

You know the saying, "Behind every hot chick, there's a guy sick of her shit!"

From past events, he claimed UFC, Lorenzo, Dana were his partners and he was neck and neck with Dana with respect to power. He talked as if he evolved past mere fighter and was on the verge of starting his own fight promotion to compete against UFC.

He earned big bucks for UFC and for himself. His ego grew. He tried a power play to not bother doing promo for Nate Diaz rematch. UFC didn't like that and did brinksmanship and pulled him from card.

Conor tried to force UFC's hand with fake tweet saying he's back on the card. Didn't work and Dana said it was false.

UFC, esp. Dana, probably doesn't want another Tito Ortiz, so they are slapping McG down hard even if it means denying themselves a big payday if McG can draw big paying fans.

-rematch with Diaz announced for UFC 200
-Conor tweets that he's retiring
-People don't know if it's a joke or not
-Turns out it was somewhat true
-Conor makes facebook post about how he doesn't want to do media tours and wants to just focus on training because he's fighting the "taller, bigger man"
-Says he's "not retired."
-pulled from UFC 200 anyway because he didn't go the press conference
-Conor makes tweet and tags Dana/Lorenzo and says "thanks for putting me back on ufc 200"
-It was a lie, he just did it to try and sway Dana to put him back on the card without him doing any media related shit

I tried. Was really hard not to subtly throw in some memes, but I tried.

He was supposed to fight at UFC 200 vs Nate (part 2; headline event)
Then we hear he is pulled from the card for refusing to come to America from Iceland for media obligations.

He says he has bent over backwards for the UFC, but now he needs to stay in Iceland and continue his training uninterrupted.

Zuffa says no can do. You're out.

Conor says fine, I retire.

Conspiracy theorists say he was trying to duck Nate.

I say it was a battle of the egos, and conor lost this battle (but maybe not the war, we'll see).
