Same thing happen to Aldo vs Mcgregor. By the time the fight happen Aldo was the favorite. I think gsp might have been the favorite when he fought this last time.

Overeem didn't fight stipe like he fought francis. He stayed on the outside and looked to counter strike. Reem just looked to dance in the pocket with francis like a dope. Stipe is smarter than that. Franc death by GnP

This is MMA, if you remember Vitor vs Randy, that might shed some light on what might happen here if Stipe is smart enough, which that he is. Plus, unlike Couture, he has KO power in his hands!

Because everybody jumps on the new in thing and the hype it isn't the first time the UFC has pushed a "KO" fighter into being the favorite over a reigning champion.

But if you think about it......
Stipe was dropped by Reem, plus he was TKO'd earlier in his career by Struve. both are no Ngannou, now I know MMA math is stupid to use because anything can happen, but I can almost bet all my marbles that if one clean punch lands on Stipe's chin.. it's gonna be lights out.

Ngannou's KO is fresh in the mind and extremely graphic. Stipe's last fight was in May and short enough that some people have had trouble remembering he actually fought this year. Plus which, Ngannou looks like a bruiser and Stipe looks like a scaled-up lightweight. Frankly I'm surprised there hasn't been more of a lemming-like rush to Ngannou's bandwagon, the public being as fickle and shallow as it is.
