What do you think? He definitely isn't undersized or outmatched at Lightweight but I think he would be better suited at the lighter weight class, at only 10lbs difference I would be surprised if he couldn't make it, do you think it would be a good move?

No, he can't. He had to shave his body just to get to 156

The more important question is can he avoid the submission?

I'm all for making stars but this guy is the most boring, untalented fighter in the UFC. And Dana says Askren needs a better resume and more time. Literally the worst fighter on the roster and gets too many fights.

I wouldn't say all that. Al has definitely got some skills, he trains under Serra-Longo. The UFC was buttering him up is all.

I'd say he definitely has some skills as evidence from his fight with Piotr Hallmann, who is a future top guy imo. He's just a cookie cutter fighter..

He also reminds me of the mucus queen's son from Billy Madison.

What does that mean..And you have the nerve to call me an idiot? It means an untalented, (IMO) boring (IMO) fighter has gotten too many fights in the octagon despite the fact he is very green and hasn't shown us anything special. In other words he gets to fill lots of cards, and I don't care for him or his style.

His size and technique isn't the issue. He's just not very fast and isn't that athletic.

I like the guy a lot, but that's reality.

Care to back up what you say? This post is the most uninformed post I have seen in a long time here. There is a reason why almost everyone is calling you out on your uninformed post.

    You say
"I'm all for making stars but this guy is the most boring, untalented fighter in the UFC."
This quote is all that needs to be said about you. If you really think that you should be banned for such a absurd comment.

Let me get this right , your telling me AL is the worst fighter in the UFC? That is flat out BS and just a flat out absurd comment. That is a joke of a comment.
Before getting caught in that sub he was well on his way to winning that fight and before that fight he was riding a 3 fight winning streak. You calling him the "WORST" fighter in the UFC is just pure stupidity.

You call him the most boring fighter in the UFC? WOW, you really need help. Whats your evidence that he is a boring fighter? The guys loves to stand and bang, from his TUF fights to his UFC fights he is anything but boring. I have no idea where you came up with these ubsurd comments. I bet you dont have the balls to start a thread calling Al the worst and most boring fighter in the UFC and then we will see how many people agree with that your stupidity. Come on start that thread stating what you think of Al and lets see how many people agree with you.

Keep posting crap like this and your lose any credibility you have left after this absurd post.

he does not need a weight cut, what he needs is more experience and proper game planning
it seems nowadays any problem has just one solution, going down a weight class

He doesn't need to drop weight, he needs to not make dumb decisions.

The only chance in hell mitch clarke had was a sub, and Al just leaps into his guard over and over. If he kept the fight standing he would have knocked Mitch out

Didn't he take the fight to the ground because he got dropped by a punch?

If Iaquinta can make FW then he should, imo. I've always enjoyed his fights though, shame he got caught in that sub.

He might be wrong in saying hes the worst, but Al is def one of the most forgettable fighters in the UFC if not thee most.

There are a bunch of ways to be unique or marketable, either personality, unique style, mouth, win streak, etc. But for someone who was on a 3 fight win streak Al really didnt go anywhere, and thats why he kept making lateral moves. He has a very standard style, no flash, no finishes, grinder.

Unfortunately he falls in the same category as Brad Tavares. OK fighter, but literally nothing about them stands out.

I dont know why you say he might be wrong in saying AL is the worst fighter in the UFC? He is 100% wrong and for you to say he "might" be wrong tells me your delusional if you think he "might" be wrong because he is 100% WRONG with that statement.

I really dont understand your post. First of all what the hell does being unique marketable, personality, unique style, mouth, win streak have to do with what that poster said about AL? He called him the worst fighter in the UFC as well as the most boring fighter in the UFC comparing him to Askren. Thats a joke.

If you want to talk about Al's personility, marketable, weather he talks s*** ect then start a thread about that because that has nothing to do with this topic.

Both comments are 100% wrong and anyone who thinks so should delete their account for those absurd comments.
Your right Al might not be that marketable, have a unique personally or talk crap with his mouth but that has nothing to do with topic.
We are talking about some uninformed poster calling Al the worst fighter in the UFC as well as the most boring comparing him to Askren. Thats what this conversation is about.

No he tripped off a kick he threw and Clarke went to take him down and instantly reversed him into his own TD, if Al wanted too he could have just stood right back up.
