Can old youtube videos be retrieved?

If the user has took the video down and deleted their account?

Maybe if it's archived at the wayback machine? That'd be the only way.
 
Good question. Even if it's deleted it's probably on the internet somewhere.

If you have the email the account is attached to they will send you the files you need.
 
Did you try yelling at youtube or hitting it? Those are my go to movies to get the best results.

yeah man, Was looking for an old Naomi Russell vid for research.
Never was able to find it.

( sidenote, I think she got the AIDS now.... )

To find it I will need you social, address, first dog, favorite teacher's name, childhood friends name, favorite author.
Also mother's maiden name and credit card numbers.

It’s just going to show a blank thumbnail and change the title to ‘deleted video’.

I have saved videos on Youtube to the ‘watch later’ folder and this is what’s there when I come back later and the video has been deleted.
 
You better let it go. Was probably deleted for a reason.

Wayback machine does archive some videos. That being said, your best bet is to find a person who downloaded the video.

I have a habit of doing this, I download an obsecure movie that was posted on YouTube and often times it gets removed. Of course I would still have a copy on my computer.

I reckon many people do this as well. Usually they put it in various download sharing sites.
 
^ yeah there's like chrome extensions that allow you to download a yt video to your computer.
 
better bet is probably to see if it was also uploaded to Dailymotion or one of those other sites

perhaps the YT creator did that, and forgot about it, so didn't delete it
 
i wish. There was a hilarious TMNT animation called Shredder for president. It was made by the same cats that did the juggernaut animation. Can’t find it anymore tho
