What do you guys think? I dont see it happening. Justin, stylistically is probably the worst matchup for Lee aside from Ferguson.

I see a brutal KO early in the 1st or second from Justin after stuffing a few takedowns.

I would actually like to see JG challenged on the ground by an elite wrestler or grappler. That's the only thing that would turn one of his fights into any kind of technical skills display.

I'm not here to see blood. I'm here to see mastery.

Some would say the fact that we've never seen justin challenged by wrestler or grappler is a display of mastery.

Just watch what happened when Poirier surprised him with a td. He sprang up like a freaking cat.

No. Just bleed Justin's dutch style shell doesn't allow him to prevent takedowns

Gaethje matches up real well with Lee.

No one can really get him down and if you can good luck trying to keep him there.

Lee's striking presents no real threat to Justin.

Exactly! And I want to see that aspect of Justin's game - the most elite aspect of his game - put to a much greater challenge by a better ground player. That would excite me, as a fan of MMA, a lot more than another bloody bar brawl.

I see it the same. Kevin Lee's striking is very robotic and he doesn't have much power. Hes also pretty slow.

I doubt it. Gaethje is the worst match up for guys like Lee and Khabib, it's just too bad we'll never get to see him fight Khabib for the title because he can't get through better strikers like Dustin and Eddie. And Lee and Khabib probably beat both of them. Damn you MMA math!

You know he's a collegiate champion, right? Lol at you noobs not knowing Justin's wrestling pedigree. Wiki's your friend. People bash him for not using it, but they don't understand, he is using it, to not get taken down. That's it.

Being a wrestler in high school or college doesn't mean he is a good MMA wrestler. MMA wrestling is very different and I've seen very little evidence that Gaethje is a good MMA wrestler.

I think he needs to close the show before his cardio fails him. But he would handle gaethje in the wrestling pretty handily.

That's because you didn't watch any of his WSOF fights where plenty of guys tried to take him down and failed, or failed to keep him there. It's okay, you're a UFC fan. But at least do your research. Like I said, he doesn't like to go for take downs, or any of that stuff, but if you try to take him down, you're going to have a tough time.
