So I have a boxing fight coming up and I am doing a lot of running right now and I am a couple of kg's below my actual weight which is a disadvantage to my opponents. I;m just wondering if there is any fallbacks of eating loads of food this week and packing on some non muscle weight and is this a good idea. I'm not talking about junk food but just lots of food and steak and eating before bed to keep my weigh high. I am doing a lot of running aswell.

Diet has no place in fitness.

Can a bullet do damage to my brain if shot out of a gun at point blank range?

But seriously, don't do it. Eat healthy. Maybe load up on pasta. But don't overeat. The sugar would destroy your body's functions right now. Besides, boxing doesn't require mass like a grappling sport. It won't make you stronger and it will slow you down. Put on weight very slowly if you insist on doing it.

Seems like a question for your trainer or other people in the gym who are more experienced than you. You never know who is giving you advice in a forum

Yea or D+S.

I don't see how extra non-muscle weight is going to do much for you at this point, unless your style has you using a lot of leverages where being heavier is an advantage.

Whoops, just saw that is was boxing and not MMA.

Damnit that AV. Every time I see it I have to scroll down real fast.

Now is the time to start scrolling.
