anyone picking Frankie.
If he can somehow wrestle Max, yes.
If he can't get this to the ground, he's gonna be in big trouble. Max is too lanky and accurate with his strike placement.
Na sorry mate
A lot of volatility in this fight for me. If Edgar and Holloway both come in on their game, Holloway gets it. The problem is Edgar hasn't been active recently and has a recent KO loss. Holloway is coming off a hard fought decision loss and has lingering health questions. In short, I have no idea.
I feel like we haven't talked enough about the fact that a natural bantamweight is fighting a welterweight for the featherweight title.
I believe Frankie has the answer.
Edgar by d'arce.
I’ve never seen a guy old as Frankie evolve into something better that would overcome the text he is about to take.
I give him a 30% chance
He can but I don't think he will.
People are writing him off a little too easy though but I really do feel Max will just take this.
Frankie isn't the smothering, LnP type IMO. He's more of a wrestle-boxer which should play right into Max's game.
We're going to find out how much max has improved since this happened to him
If Frankie gets this position then max is in for a long night. All Frankie needs is some success wrestling to open up his striking too.
Frankie is the type to do what is being done to max In the gif above.
I wanna believe it, I'm still getting Red Flags from the hard shots he took and the fact that he's cutting back down to 145.
I want to believe in my boy Max, I always bet on him too, but with those odds and that sneaky feeling, I'm not NEARLY as confident in Max as I should be.
If this fight was 5 years ago maybe... Edgar isn't taking Max down...
so MMAth clearly works in this case...
Aldo outboxed Edgar twice... Max outboxed Aldo twice... Max will outbox Edgar pretty easily...
As good as Frankie is, he's going to be too small for Holloway.
Plus, he's older now, so I think Max is actually going to KO him.
Max by KO in round 3
Freddie Edwards is going to lose.
Stop making this thread, dummies.
He absolutely can, Max hasn’t faced any decent wrestlers aside from Dennis Bermudez who beat him, though it was years ago. So that remains a big question mark to me regarding Holloway.
Also, Frankie is a pretty good boxer with good cardio and durability so he can probably hold up to the pressure Max puts on, but he’s definitely going to have trouble with the distance, I’d favor Max on the feet.
All that being said, I’m going with Holloway as much as I would love Edgar to have another title run. I think it’s possible we could be surprised but I think Holloway takes it.
