I think he wins if he fights smarter and utilizes his BJJ and wrestling (I know his wrestling sucks, but good enough to beat McGregor). The only problem is his leg kick defence. This will be the most important fight in his career. I hope he can be less stubborn and seek help from a better trainer

He can, but will he? Probably not.

That whole camp seems to be stuck in never evolving mode.

No one in that camp has ever bothered with checking leg kicks. It's catching up with Melendez but somehow the Diaz bros and Shields just seem to be able to largely walk through them for the most part.

He would be a LW champ if he could check some lowkicks.
Same for Nick.

Don't remember leg kicks making a difference in either fight.

Body shots did more to Nate than anything else in the rematch

At the age of 32 without giving a shit about MMA? Probably not.

Talks about checking kicks at 1:17

This late, and with his head injuries? Doubt it

no

Bitch slapping and flipping the bird have always been his best defense against kicks .

I thought he showed some improvement against Michael Johnson (after round 1)

Yep, that was one fight where he actually DID check kicks.

Then he reverted back to old form in the McG rematch.

Who would someone need leg kick defense against Conor McGregor?

He deals with them pretty well. Doesn't mean he defends against them at all. But he takes them well lol

Doesn't matter, at 155 Conor easily KO's Diaz before championship rounds. Yep.
