Fight for three title fights without fighting in that division?

    7-0 Featherweight
    1-1 Lightweight (Both title fights)
    2-1 Welterweight (against lightweights)

Or has someone else done it before him?

Seriously? How can you not just answer my question. Has anybody had three title fights in a division they didn't fight in?

Conor ducking lightweight is not even a secret.

Conor McGregor will not fight for the welterweight title of the world. The notion is even silly. It would look like an open weight bout and Dana would most certainly protect his nephew from such a circus like mollywhopping.

I always thought GSP would be the first three title ordre 155 win against Khabib ,170 and 185.
But I like the chance of focus McGregor against snoozeman

that's actually an interesting point. Despite being a UFC LW champion Conor has never had a non-title fight at 155.
Ironically given their history, up until the Conor fight Jose Aldo would also have this claim. He was awarded the 145 belt after the WEC/UFC merger, and thus never had a UFC 145 non-title fight.

Neither is Khabum ducking welterweights. Not sure what your point is though? You think he is getting a middleweight title shot or something? Terrible thread is terrible.

GSP fought at 170 outside of title fights, so even if he were to fight at 155 against Khabib, he would not qualify. TS asked for 3, you gave him 1.

Vitor never fought for a title at HW unless you count a tournament final, which he fought the fights leading up the the final first, hence would qualify as him "fighting in that weight class".

Vitor had many fights outside of title fights at both 185 and 205.
TS asked you for 3, you gave him 0.

Neither of you read the OP, or neither of you understood it. Either way, shame on you.

Of course he can. He will. Dana has already planned the revenues.

And why are you proud of him getting that kind of favorable treatment? A fighter being gifted 3 title fights in a weight class he has never proven himself in, is favorable treatment. If I am a fan of a fighter, I want them to earn it so that it can't be questioned that they deserve their spot.

Conor has fought in every division he's earned a title shot in. Stupid thread.

The biggest example I can give you - Chael Sonnen. He lost to Anderson, beat Brian Stann and Bisping, lost to Anderson in his rematch; then was handed a title shot against Jones. He literally just lost to Anderson twice for that title, and just gets a free shot at Jonny Bones? Ugh.

Another example might also be GSP who didn't take a fight to earn his shot at Bisping to dethrone him. I love GSP but he should've had to take a warm-up, maybe a fight with Anderson?

Another example might be Nick Diaz who came off a loss to Condit (who, in that fight, ran backward throwing leg poke kicks at Diaz's ankle; prior to this, he was a very active fighter who went on a spree). He was given his GSP fight a year later. Neither deserved a title shot for that hot garbage. Condit irritated a lot of people, but hey - Nick couldn't impose himself, so he's also at fault.

It's like these weirdos wake up and the first thing they think to themselves is, "I'm going to make a shitty Conor thread."

I'm starting to think these fucks are farming likes.

It could happen, but only in the unlikely event that he beats Justin, Tony, and Khabib in his next 3 fights.

If he does that, I can almost guarantee he'd look for a superfight against the WW champ, and the WW champ would be an idiot to turn down that mega payday.
