I ask this because i rarely see two fighters using the same color. Are there any rules regarding that?

Yes its allowed. I remember once there was a black guy fighting a white guy and they both had black shorts with grey trim. When goldburg described them at the start of the fight he made in depth comments about how the trim of the one guys shorts differed from the others.
Then Rogan said "or you can say he's the black guy and he's the white guy".
Lol please say which fight. Wanna hear this one. I can imagine the awkardness, why the hell wouldn't he just say xxx is the black guy and yyy is the white guy? That would be a lot easier than describing the shorts.

As long as the fighters are of different colour then it's ok.
Otherwise they have to wear different colour shorts.
