Can Bearjew go on a title run at LHW?

I’m fully supportive of BearJew, tough as nails and an exciting fighter...IMO he’s just too chinny to consistently win against the elite and string together a streak to get him to within title contention.

I don’t think it’s as wide open you imply. Jan is a solid champ. And other than fact that Glover is number 1. Which he earned. There are serious solid up and comers in the rest of the top 5, I believe.

As to the actual question of the thread. It’s mma..anything can happen. I actually really like Craig, but I predicted Hill would win. Craig is one of those weird specialists that could make a serious run. But he’d be the underdog against most of those guys near the top.

My short answer is no. But, I’d like to see him succeed at or near the top.

No

But I'm definitely excited to see him fight again against higher ranked opponent and keep defying the odds as long as he can

Not if he's gonna keep pulling guard, that shit will get shutdown quick

Great fighter and exiting ground game but im afraid top 10-15 material with that chin and limited stand up always love him for this tho

The fact that he is 4-1-1 in his last 6 is amazing.

He was losing to Magomed and Kennedy before getting the underdog win. Props to him but he was really close to having 6 straight losses had he not gotten those 2 submissions.

He's been starched atleast 3 times in the UFC already. That's way too much for a potential champion. The only one who overcame these odds is Oliveira but even then, he made his UFC debut when he was 20.

I'm rooting for ManBearJewBearPig. need a new Bjj God to replace Maia.

Lol this dude wouldn’t be anywhere near top 10 if Bader Davis Rumble or Corey were still there. UFC LHW is a joke you ppl are watching scrubs and don’t even realize it. Jamahal Hill is 8-1 and can’t grapple for shit and you ppl thought he was a top prospect.

so ur saying he can go on a title run?

What the hell is a BearJew? Sounds like a quick way to get the double yellows.......

There are 2 in the men's division. Just sayin'

Yeah but they are champion because they have also a really good striking. Oliveira won his title by TKO and Moreno did sub Figgy but he can thanks the fact that he was outstriking him.
I think the point he is trying to make is that you can't make it to the title with your sub skills only, you need a certain level in the striking.
That's whats differenciate Oliveira, Moreno, Ortega from Bryce Mitchell/Paul Craig/Maia/Ryan Hall/Hermansson.

That's my opinion only but i have a hard time remembering who was the last guy to climb on the top a division mostly with submissions ? Demian Maia and who ?

....No.

And anyone that wants to account-bet on this, hollao_O

Oh man so brave.. betting that a guy who is barely ranked and completely 1 dimensional won't become champion. What stones!
