We saw time and time again the blueprint to beat Nate and Nick. In and out striking and/or takedowns and top control would do the trick against them.

The question is : Can you beat the Diaz bros if you engage in a striking contest with them?

I know Condit won via changing his nickname to Natural Born Runner, and Thompson did almost the same, but Daley, Cerrone, McGregor, Bj Penn and many others tried to fight toe to toe with them, and they were demolished.

Which fighter can you see wining a striking match at welterweight or lightweight against the Diaz brothers?

Wonderboy would be a difficult fight for Nick or Nate @ WW

I think Alvarez and Pettis would be good fights for Nate @ LW

RDA fucked Nate up everywhere. He killed him on the feat, before easily taking him down.

Anderson out-boxed Nick (yes, we know the tests after the fight).

Josh Thomson schooled Nate on the feet and knocked him out. nearly 40 years old Thomson and hasn;t beaten anyone else in UFC since 2004.

KJ noons beat the dog shit out of nick diaz in their first fight, but that was avenged.

noons fight

nick basically had nothing for anderson silva, but if you have to reach that high into the striking pantheon to find someone you cant compete with, youre on pretty solid ground.

he wrestled and LnP as fuck

Not possible. Even Lawler couldn't do it. You need a gameplan or fight in a shootboxing/karate range. Thompson tooled Nate on the feet staying out of range and using a high volume of kicks. Others have successfully used a combination of Muay Thai and/or wrestling. But toe to toe at boxing range is suicide.

If somebody won the boxing battle before going to the mat, it was Gomi over Nick.

Same Gomi, with a massive reach disadvantage, went toe yo toe with Nate.

Gomi oustruck Nick, and almost KO him. Them he was caught in a sub in the end of the fight.

Heavy leg kicks are key as well. Condit had success because he has long reach as well as his movement.

I can see Tumenov beating Nate.

You need to rewatch that Silva fight. It was actually much more competitive than I originally thought. Diaz did pretty good.

Nick lost via cut against noons. He was winning the round and caught a knee that opened up scar tissue which he had surgery to try to stop from happening. The knee barely grazed him and he still completed the takedown. Come on dude, you even posted the video. If it went to the 2nd round Noons would of been finished.
