Can anyone comment on this stand-up bag or recommend another one? (PrBxing BounceBag)

My landlord made me get rid of my Wavemaster XXL because when I hit it, the solid plastic base transferred too much energy into the floor and shook the ceiling below.

This bag that my gym just bought has a foam/rubber base and doesn't seem to transfer much energy at all into the floor. http://www.proboxingequip.com/ProductList.asp?category=Bags&Title= It's the one labelled PBBB. I like the bag a lot. The only problem is that it's $499...needless to say a bit more than I want to spend. There's a smaller one right above it for $375, but it looks kind of cheesy, and at that point I'm almost willing to spend the extra $125 on the other one to get a full width, good quality bag.

Has anyone used the smaller one that can confirm it as quality or crap, or can anyone recommend a similar design (that won't shake the floor) that isn't as much? Thanks

judging by your limitations you basically can't have any "atypical" freestanding bag as all freestanding bags rely on a heavy sand filled or water filled base. your gym has the more expensive bag right? what do you think? is it one of those things that you hit and it bounces to the floor kind of thing?

you might want to consider a high quality heavy bag stand though I understand they can be noisy as well. check out ringside.com

you may also want to try a cobra bag on ringside.com as an alternative. it is definitely not a heavy bag, but at least you could practice on something (kinda like a double end bag).

to be honest, i don't think there is any alternative out there based on your very confining needs.

sorry mate, but i wouldn't want you to waste your money.

Wow, for that much money you can get a nice hanging bag and a wall-mount hanger. There was a thread where a guy put one up in his apartment and didn't rip his wall out. So I'd put my faith in it.

Can you link that?

There's no way my landlord will let me put that in...he's worried enough as it is with the standup bag. I'd of bought a hanging bag already if that were an option.
