You got stories of Francis recently becoming champion after being homeless. That gives them a bit of that edge or chip on their shoulder if you will.

Oliveira isn't just from the favela. He still lives there. Just in a little bit better house than before.
 
Did UFC even had brazilian champion ever? Brazilians arent very good at fighting, only at football

Im guessing most of the Brazilian ufc champs come from favelas.
I think it's like 50/50. Trust fund kids can bang too apparently. Vitor and Machida definitely weren't poor kids.

Maybe, but it would take a few decades since no Brazilians have ever even competed in MMA and it's not a sport most there have even heard of.
Lol. Yes, and let’s not forget that Brazil has never contributed any original ideas about martial arts. I keep driving past BJJ academies but have no clue what it stands for
