Obviously It will take a huge offer to get Fedor to sign with the UFC and we all want it to happen. But solely from a financial standpoint, do you guys think it will be worth it? Can Fedor generate huge numbers or it will only please us hardcore fans?

    How do they hype him?
Put all of the clips of Dana saying "who has he beat?" into a black hole?

The UFC could easily reach a million PPV buys if they used the same amount of money to sell Fedor to the masses as Canner MacGregger

on a rousey or conor ppv, yeah.
fedor is a respectful, quiet, unassuming guy. people buy loud and in your face.

    It will be huge.

Just look at the storm he generated by announcing his comeback.

Fedor had and still has a HUGE amount of fans.

Add him up with Mcgregor on a card and you're there.

No. Despite what shertards believe, Fedor was never a draw. Coker himself is on record saying they never made a dime in Strikeforce off Fedor cards.

He did headline ppvs in the United States. They did about 75k-100k in a stronger ppv market.

The card would need Conor McGregor or Ronda Rousey on it he wouldn't be able to do those numbers on his own without having any champions on the card.

If UFC can turn Rousey into a star by fighting inferior opponents and are able to keep her away from her only real challenge Cyborg then yes they can easily get 1 million PPV buys with Fedor as the headliner.

If promoted correctly by the UFC, Fedor vs Couture could potentially do close to a million buys.

It takes two to tango. Fedor has no appeal to the casual fans unlike "canner macgregger". Heck I think strikeforce lost money hyping Fedor compared to ronda title match with tate

I don't think you get how things work.

Conor's personality was what the masses were sold & they bought it.
Fedor's personality doesn't work in that way.

You just can't try & sell something & succeed at it. if so, every fighter would be a draw.
Fedor's aura was the 'unstoppable' Russian ... he was stopped THREE times.
It will take a few dominant fights to come anywhere near that again & then it is not a guarantee.
They sold Conor as a young, brash, outspoken fighter going for the champ ...
They sell Ronda as the dominant, attractive, blond who demolishes every female (but Tate) in record time.

    Yep.

Being "huge" on Sherdog doesn't mean much.

Only if the card also has Ronda and Conor on it.

Fedors contract & M1's demands were a huge reason SF owners lost money & wanted out.

Who did Pride shield Fedor from exactly? Be specific.
