from what i understand the fight is all but a guarantee; so i pose the question to the forum, who you think wins this.

i think guzman has alot of talent, skills and ability; but as he moved up, he has lost a bit of his punching power. He seems to have retained his overall mobility, fluidity, quickness and speed and of course his boxing is still some of the best you will see (esp def) currently. An he is world class...

that being said i don't think he can take nate, there is no way in hell he can exchange w/him on the inside or mid range; i think he might be able to outslick him at dist, but i really think he lacks the power or strength to keep nate from walking in on him and beating him up.

it should be competitive cus guzman is tech that good and has some adv in regards to phys ability; but the lack of size, strength and power is gonna be a bit too much for him, esp if he is as aggressive and busy w/his hands as he was against diaz. An guzman might be a better boxer, to some degree; but there isn't a HUGE enough gap for guzman to be able to outslick, pick apart nate campbell...at least not for a twelve round duration.

if nate is on, he will stop him inside of 7 rounds, if he isn't he will win by decision.

no way will this fight ever happen

campbell gains nothing from it and has everything to lose by taking the fight

no ones has a clue who guzman is other than a few forum cronies like us

campbell will fight diaz in a rematch for buckets of cash or casamajor in a unification for buckets of cash

campbell is 36 he needs to get paid amd guzman is still a blown up nobody in most peoples eyes

Would be a hell of a fight, but I like a focused Campbell over Guzman. Campbell needs the big $$$ fights though, and not sure that this will be one of them.

Nate Makes or breaks this fight. If Nate has his shit together I think he will beat Guzman convincingly. There is also the chance that Nate will do something stupid and Guzman will capitalize.

If it goes down, i see this too. I see Guzman being too fast and Nate having a poor gameplan to deal with that.

Guzman has no business going up so high. Remember Barrios? He didn't have too many problems finding him. I say Nate Campbell takes this fight if he's on track. Bigger, stronger, fast... enough to get to Guzman.

You mean little Guzman isn't terribly frightened of Nate? Holy shit. The ever-ducked Nate Campbell?

    Campbell KO9

Guzman barely survived Barrios who is a very good fighter and mostly avoided also somewhat resembles a little bit of Campbells style

Honestly I think it's a toss-up because I think superior speed and defense might confound Nate. But I do agree this is not a great weight for Joan, and Nate's punch could prove that fact.

nate may not be a world beater; but we know he is a juan diaz beater, he outhustled outfought him and outboxed, he beat his *ss...JUST like he told us he was going to.

don't cheapen the win, when u do that you take away from diaz effort in the fight and you take away from diaz as a fighter; if it was really JUST a bad night he would come back an get his titles. But it wasnt and that is why he is looking for another opp, an this is coming from a diaz fan.

i agree w/kabuki-but i think the weight is gonna hurt that speed, fluidity and mobility; an against a busy hard hitting and tough fighter that is gonna cost him, barrios is no campbell and if barrios got to him campbell will kill him.

guzman is gonna be a half to a full step slower and won't have any of the power he had at the lower weights, i say nate walks him down and then knocks him out,

Maybe the weight will play a factor, but I don't feel Campbell is going to kill Guzman. Barrios is a pretty good puncher at 130 and he landed significant leather on Guzman. Guzman for the most part handled the punishment quite well. Guzman can take a punch. I say Campbell will most likely pound out a UD in a fight in which Guzman will get marked up. Of course the inconsistent campbell can show up and Guzman slicks him with his boxing skills. Maybe...

Yeah don't underestimate Jorge Barrios, he'd give anyone a tough Fight, even Nate Campbell. He's not some scrub.
