Said it for a while when it comes to Boxing perfectly adapted to MMA. Kattar is top if not the best. But it's hard to notice when you got guys claiming Nate Diaz has the best boxing in MMA and can't event acknowledge others fighters when there so deep in their nuthugging for him.

He's fallen short against some of the tall rangy strikers like Moicano and Zabit, so it'll be interesting to see how he does against another one of the taller featherweights like Holloway.
He's been beating some top level competition recently so if he's able to defeat Holloway it's definitely his breakthrough victory that will likely secure him a title shot in 2021.

He didn't even have a muy thai coach when he fought moicano. I think he's improved a lot since then. After the zabit fight, I didn't leave that fight thinking Kattar was a worse fighter than zabit. He's learned a lot from those losses and is better than ever because of them. I'm looking forward to this fight.

He definitely did the best against Zabit and I think we all know if there were two more rounds, the fight would end up being razor close on the scorecards. I think it could be a real tough stylistic match up for Holloway.
As long as Kattar keeps up with Max's pace, he'll do very well. If you think about Max's recent losses, it's been against good boxers that have solid counters. Both Poirier & Volkanovski were able to counter Holloway at times, and really make him pay for coming in.
That's where I see a lot of Kattar's success coming on this fight - off the counter. He's got the reach advantage and he's the same height as Holloway. Ironically Volk - Poirier & Kattar all have similar reach. According to wiki, Volk's is 71 and 1/2, Poirier is 72, and Kattar is 72. So maybe his style & size is enough to get the W over Max

Kattar is awesome and improving so much every fight. Him and Rob Font have been improving so much these last 2 years beating the shit out of each other in the gym everyday, it shows!

No.. you are completely stupid for thinking there's an MMA fighter in the biggest org (UFC) on teh proffesional level on teh world stage his gym didn't have a muay thai coach... IT'S 2019 FFS!
Kattar has not been fighting training in his basement with a grappling coach best friend... It doesn't work like that today. There is no MMA gym anywhere with out a muay thai coach, that's why this is an obvious lie for publicity, nothing more.
I challenge you to go physically or phone call any big name gym that has UFC fighters, or at least their closest branch to you of said gym and ask if they don't have a muay thai fighter. The secretary will tell you "of course sir, what gym doesn't, are you interested in our beginner's plan? we offer first class for free to see if it fits you".
