1. Way back in the day somebody made a thread asking why sherdog had so many advertisements for gay porn.

It was pointed out to him that the ads he saw were based on his browsing history.

Before I switched to Tor, all I got was Vape product ads. 100% of the time. I've never googled anything about vaping. Shit was bizarre. I remember asking myself, "how the fuck does Sherdog's profiling algorithm work?".

I want the god gamn credit for making the best thread ever here that only lasted 5 minutes.

There was a guy named **** who posted spam links to his personal website every day. I hate spam so I wanted to mess with him. I looked at his domain and it showed his name and address. I googled that and it turned out he was a teacher who got busted jacking off in front of a 14 year old. He wasn't even supposed to be using social media.

I put it all into a thread in the OT, maybe 2008 or so and it lasted like 5 minutes. The ban hammer hit me swift.

All that info was public domain but by posting his name I broke the rules. I think he finally got banned for posting spam but surprisingly he hung around for a while after my thread

Im gonna edit this post to take out his username, maybe a mod can still see the thread. I think it may have been hard deleted when the forum migrated years later.
