So I got an email from Pechanga telling me they are going to reopen on June 1, 2020

They said Ill have 500 dollars free play on my card :( but Im not going to take the risk and go, its not worth it until there is a vaccine. I wonder if the Governor is going to force them to stand down. Valley View wanted to reopen in May but they had to stop that plan.

This is going to get tricky because the Natives rely on Casino money, all the Indian Reservations with casinos basically rely on the Casino to survive. They also were paying many of their employees during this pandemic, and I don't think Governor Newsom wants to look like the evil White man trying to knock these Natives livelihood. so its going to be interesting to see how he handles this.

Pechanga makes like $1 to 2 billion dollars a year, each tribe members I believe gets paid 300 to 400k a year. The virus will hurt their earnings, since they will have to restrict the amount of people inside, and turn off half of the machines, the buffet, pool and hotels won't be open yet either. They opened their Golf course I believe.

But Im going to keep an eye on this to see how it goes, this sounds risky especially since the Casinos are breeding grounds for viruses also the Elderly love the casino and they are one of the groups who are hit hard by covid.

Here is a news article on it

Does the US gov have any jurisdiction on Indian land?

If not they can fuck right off.

There’s been a lot of pretty disturbing over reach during this thing, people’s lives are getting destroyed, at some point we’re going to have to take a risk.

Damn think of all the threads tidwell will be making as he waits the next 10 years for a vaccine that never comes. You really hate to see it.

The federal government does but the state doesn't.

I think there is a law where they can take over Indian reservation if they are doing some illegal or dangerous activity like also if they are starting a militia or something like that.

Each tribe member gets 300 to 400k a year for just existing?!?!

My trail of tears of jealousy stretches across my room.

Yes, but they ousted half their tribe, greed changed hands man. Same thing with Pala the casino nearby they eliminated 800 tribe people so they could get high monthly res money.

This guy makes millions as a tribe member and owns San Manuel Casino which generates a bit over a billion dollars a year.

If you find out his story, dude had it EASY, he didn't even live on the reservation he grew up in Long Beach but because his mother I believe was part of the tribe when they started up the casino he was able to get money and now he is one of the head guys of the casino. He lives there now on the reservation along witht he other Mansions behind the casino of th other tribe members.

I play there often

His name is Perfect Pair

Disenrollment schemes are fucking disgusting. One of the downsides to casino success has been all the nakedly greedy disenrollment bullshit.

Valley View Casino and Sycuan Casino are planning on opening next week I saw that on the news, I wonder if UFC could host a fight at Valley View? They already hosted fights there many times before in the past.

I gamble at Valley View, Harrahs, Pauma, Pala, and Pechanga, I haven't been to Sycuan in ages, They got a nice ass location and the tribe members got big houses in a nice valley when you drive to it.

yup, Its messed up. Greed got the better of them. They kicked out so many members, you can drive by the reservations behind the casinos and they got huge mansions now.

That's not every casino tribe though. Or even most of them, tbh imo. And some casinos just flat out fail, largely due to location.

Do you think its safe to go to a casino at this time? you cant trust people, I bet you some of these gamblers will pop a tylenol before getting the temp reading to enter, before this Pandemic every time id go to the casino you would get people who are down right sick of the flu and coughing and sneezing all over the machines.

It's all about money. These Natives are doing to other Natives the same as what they cry the white man did to them. There aren't even any full blooded Natives anymore anyway. A lot of these tribal councils and a few others who benefit from casinos don't even live on the reservations. They live in some nice suburb just outside lol. If you've been to some of these reservations you know why.

I can't wait until all states start actually having sports betting establishments now that it's legal. These 'Natives' are a bit like Arabs and oil.

fyi I support them re-opening
