    His head!
I thought headbutting was illegal but he does it ALL THE TIME, his combos go left right , lead with the head into the clinch.
I was supporting Cain all the way tonight but I did feel that was borderline at best.

They aren't headbutts. You smother your opponent with your head, it makes them feel both uncomfortable and allows you to push their head into the position you want to punch them.

Im not really talking so much about him grinding his head, just leading in with his head at his opponents head when he closes the distance, Ive noticed it in a few of his fights.

    Lesnar did it to Mir.

Completely legal and not a dangerous or unsportsmanlike manoeuvre.

No. It's called headfighting, and it's legal when you're clinching like that. It's a legit technique, and unavoidable unless you'd like them to decapitate themselves prior to the fight.

Yes, relentless grinding of cranium in face of opponent to swell them up with blood and then cut holes with punches and elbows.

Its a basic MMA wrestling strategy. Who ever can get their head below or under the other guy's head/chin has a control advantage.

Therefore, Cain wasted little time bridging the distance leading with his head to get that position - often moving in behind jabs and straight punches.

JDS took a pounding in a clinch he often couldn't escape from so... its hard to argue with the results.
