Who do you have? Cain would be the safe bet but Jds could certainly catch him again.

I'm rooting hard for JDS and I think if he comes in with urgency like he did in the first fight, he'll win. I think he'll be far better prepared for Cain's 2nd fight strategy.

hard to see the fight go any different than the 2nd rematch.

    why?
Cain wasn't even close to getting a TD till the big punch and in that exchange JDS would more often land himself

Urgency?? He caught Cain with one punch, not a flurry of punches right out the gate:rolleyes:

JDS needs to catch him within the first two rounds, or boost his cardio enough to still have the power to finish him in the later rounds.

I find it funny that so often the perceived strategy to beat a guy who is a td and ground threat is 'urgency' or to be 'aggressive' when in fact history has taught us that strategy makes the td much easier and most strikers generally are more cautious of the td.

I guess the thought by some fans is 'he might only get once chance to 'catch him' so since the fight starts standing, might as well go for it even if it reduces his chances overall.

After the fight and loss you often see the same fans lamenting he did not go for it, let his hands go, etc, as if that would have been the key to success.

It is like putting all your eggs in the home run basket. If you hit it, great, but the odds of hitting it are very low.

All JDS has to do is land a punch. Some people seem to think that's out of the realm of possibility lol

I'd go with JDS. He's got the speed, tdd and power to beat Cain. And I think his cardio won't be a problem up until maybe the 3rd round - hopefully it'll be over by then. Those right hands that knocked Hunt down would knock Cain out

but who cares? It's gonna be a great fight either way

I'm very sure the winner will either be Cain Velasquez or Junior Dos Santos.

I agree. Last fight proved Cain will have a hard time finishing JDS. He's felt the worst Cain has and survived, plus he knows he can stop Cain.

If you listen to his post fight speech from the first fight he explained that his knee injury made him look for the early KO to avoid fighting over 5 rounds because of Cain's stamina. Going into the second he was predicting a second round KO, because he was expecting a round to feel Cain out like how the first fight was going.

This didn't happen as Cain rushed him out of the gate and gave him no room. Cain still struggled and was reduced to crawling around for ankles until he caught JDS with that punch.

He didn't have the same urgency, and I think he'll make adjustments to his game to compensate.
