His back surgery went well and Cain Velasquez wants to return before July.. DC said he'll he have Velasquez in his camp in two weeks.

via UFC Tonight.
 
I'm a fan of his fights, but at this point, I'm not going to get my hopes up. I don't have any faith that he'll be able to stay injury-free. He's probably done.

I won't even consider the possibility of Cain fighting until I see him inside the Octagon.
 
He wants to fight 4 months after a back surgery?
 
So that leaves him with, assuming he starts camp and wants two and change months to prepare, the 198 Werdum card which is stacked already, or there are TBA cards in June we don't know yet. Also there's 199 but we know nothing about it yet, other than it will happen between May 15th and July 9th, so I'd guess around June 11th/18th for UFC 199. He wouldn't fight on a TUF finale, and I sincerely doubt the UFC would put him on 200 because he's an injury liability.
 
It would be great if he can stay healthy. I've always enjoyed his fights
 
Any word on who he wants to fight, besides Werdum?
 
I hope he comes back and never ever ever gets hurt again.
 
I just can't see coming back this soon after fucking BACK SURGERY and training the way Cain is known to train being a good thing.

I don't want him to, but I will be flat shocked if he doesn't get hurt again.
 
I really think he should lose his instant rematch (should've never been given one in the first place). Put him up against another top contender, ala Travis Browne, and let him earn a title shot.
