Cain Velasquez says he was unprepared in first fight but prepared now

Cain doesn't hardly speak at all. When he actually says what he's thinking or how he felt, you guys just absolutely trash him. Why don't you just take him for his word? If he said he wasn't healthy and had a terrible training camp, then I believe him.

I love the fact that all of these people who are criticizing Cain now were slobbering all over him prior to the JDS fight. Now after one fight, the Cain fight, everyone is hanging onto JDS' arse like a goddamn barnacle. Most of you people are into the "latest, greatest HW champ" and have no real allegiance to a particular fighter.

I'm saying it now: Cain will tko JDS in the 3rd round.

Flame away, you femmes!!

Oh please, he knew what he was getting into the first fight. The only way he will be more prepared this fight is if he enters the octagon wearing a helmet.

i think king mo and / or bones would OWN cain.

Wow...just wow. Don't you know Mo's an AKA teammate of Cain's? Why don't you read some comments from King Mo explaining how Cain works him and DC over in practice? Get a fucking clue!

Personally, I've always though of DC as "Cain-lite".

All of these excuses by Cain seems like to me he's just trying to reassure himself that he can hang with jds. If it was truly a fluke and you're so confident you can do better then prove it

I like Cain but if JDS ko'ed him in 60 something seconds with a fucked up knee that required surgery after the fight, I don't like Cain's chances too much. Besides I like JDS even more than Cain. "Cigano punch my face all the time"-Anderson Silva

cains biggest weakness is striking defense, so JDS will probably remain his worst matchup at HW

If you lose you just lose. I'm tired of the excuses. He hurt his knee, he didn't hurt his knee, he didn't train hard enough, he was coming off of a long layoff. How about he just got knocked out by a guy with big power. It happens.

I'm one of the biggest JDS fans around here and yet, I admit Cain was coming from a long lay off, and a knee injury, I believe the second fight it's going to be a lot tougher for Dos Santos.

He is hyping himself up going into the rematch, why stress over it?

So, let me get this straight, Cain and the boyz @ AKA didn't train on how to stop punches to the side of the head? C'MON mane! He needs to bring in Vitor to help him out.

Close but Vitor is more of a specialist in punches to the back of the head.

How do u go into a title fight unprepared??? If u sign that contract you better knuckle up

Cain never gets tired. IMO he needs to go in there put punches in JDS face and go for TD after TD after TD. He needs to get this down and lump JDS up. Cain can just go and go, so have no fear of gassing do whatever it takes to get this fight down..

As a die hard fan of Cain, even I'm sick of hearing this.

That being said, WAR Velasquez!

Never been more excited and nervous for a fight.

it also happens that outside shit affects the fight, you might not like to hear it but its a reality, people in here are super sensitive when it comes to this thing for no reason, do you think that forrest's wife giving birth to forrest's kid seconds before going to rematch shogun did not affect the fight one bit? Im not saying forrest would have won but if you dont think he was affected by that you are fucking retarded

I still think jds beats cain btw

Cain is a beast with an incredible work ethic so i'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt THIS TIME.

Cains a good fighter to watch. His personality makes it hard for me to like. And people say Jon Jones is fake. Hopefully Cigano KO's him again and stops his excuses.

So he didn't train hard for his first title defense against one of the most dangerous strikers in MMA, in front of the largest audience the UFC's ever had for their debut on Fox? Sounds legit.

Has it occurred to you TS that maybe it's because people keep asking him why why why?

To my knowledge it's not like Cain has been out there running his mouth and offering unasked for reasons. But he has media obligations and people want to know why this time will be different and what happened last time. What is he supposed to say?

I mean, it would be one thing if he was out there running his mouth and offering these reasons up unsolicited. But he's not. People keep asking, how should he respond?
