I attended a seminar with Rodrigo Medieros who trained under the great Carlson Gracie and he showed a knee on belly position. He mentioned that Carlson never liked using mount in his fights that he preferred striking from knee on belly because he had more control and the guy couldnt bump him off, he would just transition from there but never lose postion.
