and is still ranked #4

lol

(Steroids have removed some of his wins out of the rankings and others have fallen off during his longass inactivity, but still a funny stat courtesy of some reddit post)

Wikibaby confirmed

Thats since JDS and Rothwell are USADA'd.

Yet he could still beat most HW in the UFC lol.

The problem is HW 5-10 is not very good, or at least not yet established. Who do you have above him?

What's funny is that when I google "UFC HW rankings" they show me a snippet from ESPN first. It's like google's algorithm is intelligent enough to know that the UFC is full of shit.

Just today mentioned in another thread that Cain is 0-1 against the current top 15 fighters but he is ranked #4.

OP post in reddit? LMFAO...That's all I need to know.

Reddit is the most casual place, I ever seen...a bunch of n00bs with mobrule censorship via downvotes...That place is a fucking joke, bunch of Karma Circle Jerk bullshit.

OP is a disgrace.

The problem is none of these UFC HW's have fought a murderer's row of Russian and NFL athletes in succession.

JDS & Bigfoot aren't exactly the rainbow.

I think at some point in history in quick succession, they would have to fight Oleynik, Volkov, Fedor/Igor/Aleks, some other fighters I can't think to name.

Bellator Heavyweight prospect Chael Sonnen is the closest anyone has come near fighting such a row.

The problem with Cain is at his prime no fighter would probably have better odds than him. But rankings need to be relative to current years against currently ranked fighters. Otherwise, you might as well put Erick Silva at the #1 p4p spot.

So you get downvoted there, yellow carded here.. maybe you should take the hint

It is kind of amusing the way places like Sherdog stuck religiously to the "must have a win this year" rule(I thinking making Barnett unranked prior to a potential Fedor fight) when it was helping shift UFC fighters up in the rankings yet tossed it in the garbage when it wasn't. You might almost think MMA journalism had no credibility.

Oh they have nothing better to do that to look at wikipedia and try to come up with a denigrating stat with no context

Even out of prime I don't favour any one who is currently ranked below him. Can he make it to the cage is the question.

He should probably just be removed from the rankings entirely. It will be two years soon. With only two fights in nearly 5 years...

At least you acknowledge the technical truth but misleading nature of the factoid. Thank you for that.

Cain Velasquez is the best heavyweight of all time.

Cain is probably the best HW challenger if he can get to the cage.
