I just re watched the entire fight in my room solely, which is helpful in terms of analysis compared to a loud, rowdy bar. Cain Velasquez is a fucking monster.....I don't know how else to put it, yes he DID get tired through out the fight but man his will and determination is second to none. This guy really is something special, and it is a true privilege for me to be a fight fan during his career. Junior Dos Santos is a TRUE champion. This guy endured the WORST beating I have ever seen any man alive take and kept on trying to respond. People need to give this guy some extra attention simply because 99.9% of the men alive would have folded under Cain's relentless offensive. Seriously, for what ever personal reason I never liked JDS before, but he has my full respect from now own. It's Alistair Overeem, or Cain is the undisputed king of the HW division.
I love Fedor, but I think Cain is a better. Nothing wrong with that, considering training nowadays is a hell of a lot more scientific then Fedor's days.
Cain similarities to fedor are a lot but Fedor was way more complete cause of his submissions and boxe...fedor was a sort of cain and jds mixed up...
This might be the main reason why Fedor is worshiped on this forum. Without the benefit of a gifted physique or a professional training camp, he managed to stay at the top of the HW food chain for a decade. Yes, time caught up to him but most importantly, he didn't evolve: he never trained in a real pro camp, never really brought serious training partners and I bet he never trained in an octagon or extensively watched his opponent's fights. You can't blame time for that, Fedor is not that old.
Was that from the fight where Cain hit a blinded, downed Bigfoot and still couldn't properly finish him after hitting 10 North Star Hundred Crack Fist attempts?
Blinded because Cain hit him with a square elbow. Downed because Cain used animal like reflexes to counter a kick. Your point?
properly finished? im not a fedor hater but how is that finish not proper? did you see bigfoots arms flailing around at the end??
If you're not trolling, you have no idea about Fedor, or you're just very stupid. By the way, fuck Luongo.
The sport evolved and Fedor didn't, his camp didn't seem to understand that post-2007 MMA Heavyweights ability to strike & grapple well improved tremendously. I'm sorry but even a prime Fedor would get squashed in today's Heavyweight climate.
