Why the fuck these casuals are saying Conor moved up 2 weight classes. When actually He was just fighting another guy of same size, Where both of them agreed for not to cut weight.

Damn, You know, I think Nate was right. He agreed to fight at 155.

It was just the marketing genius inside Cmac, Which was looking for a perspective so that even if he loses, his brand value should be intact & He could show this as an excuse for his loss, Which he already did. He is already successful to create this illusion in casuals minds that he lost because he fought a bigger guy.

Kudos to his intelligence./

if he didn't want to fight Nate he wouldn't have fought Nate. He would just have picked an easier fight, or he will do what almost all fighters do and not take a short notice replacement fight.

but yes, Conor is very smart with his marketing. The fact that he went for the TD to get subbed rather than TKO'd was another smart move

Technically he did move up two weight classes regardless of who he fought. So calm your little self down

I do agree he fought a lw, however.

+1 definitely a good move to save the chin long term and I think he was FUCKED at that point.

Live to get paid massive amounts of money another day.

not a connor fan but...

actually nate is bigger, stronger walks around heavier taller and has more reach but ok.

I said going into this that this was Nates fight to lose.

I'll give him this: he was intelligent enough to tap quickly when he felt his head coming clean off

This guy is smart no doubt. To make that much $ you have to be.
But his figthing IQ vs Nate was horrible.

How do you mean? He was landing punch after punch after punch on Nate. Up until about a minute or two before the finish, it was Conor all the way.

Instead of throwing haymaker after haymaker trying to get that highlight KO (which was never going to happen against a diaz) he should have worked the body more and attacked nates lead leg to force him to shorten his stance

Well, it was technically a welterweight fight so that is two weight classes.

And you saying both agreed not to cut just shows who the casual is here. Nate did cut weight.

He gassed! He slow down a lot in the 2nd round. & he shoot for a stupid takedown vs one of the Best BJJ guy in the game.

1. Didn't pace himself
2. Trade puch with the bigger guy.
3. Panic as soon he was hurt
4. Went to the floor with a better bjj guy than him.

Bad IQ.
He was the better striker of the 2.
was picking Nate appart and all he did was going for the kill with every thing he threw. dumb gameplan. The result prove my point.

If he was smart he would have picked Faber and KO'd him in 1 round instead. :D

Not sure how smart he was since he just spammed over hand lefts and telegraphed spinning kicks trying to KO a guy that Rory and RDA couldn't even finish.

KOing Aldo in 13 seconds made him think he was untouchable just like Ronda.

There are plenty of stupid people that are wealthy. Conor is riding the same wave of xenophobia and cynicism Sonnen did. These type of fans are pretty much what the majority UFC demographic is. People have this desperation to crown their favorites with every favorable attribute they can. There is nothing particularly intelligent about Conor. It's just that most of his fans probably have base level IQs. It's not hard to fool them into thinking he is brilliant.
