By that I mean running around after the final bell celebrating assuming you won, trying to persuade the judges you won. Who started this and do you believe it works? I can't stand it honestly. Discuss.

Started in boxing, and it's been around forever. Smells like Greg Jackson? Geez, drop the hate, learn some history.

I have a hard time believing a judge sitting thinking "Hey that guy looks happy and has his arms up. I guess he must have won". Although with some of the judging I guess it's possible.

Didn't BJ's corner tell him to get out and raise his hands after he fought Edgar?

They said it like it was the 6th round.

Greg Jackson brought this to MMA, also the godfather of Point Fighting, Grease-Gate, Go Get some Fans Jon Jones....Cocoa-Mo Jones....and a plethora of others not mentioned here.

Some feel he truly is ...the Yellow Bastard from SinCity.

That's very much a part of the game selling yourself to the judges...

I don't believe it works. Judges are too busy looking at their scorecard and deciding who gets what points to be looking at nonsense in the ring after the bell. What may work is getting a takedown or being otherwise dominant near the end of the round.

Over the years I had a hard time believing Cecil Peoples was really qualified to referee and judge Professional MMA bouts, but .....yeah.......

They score rounds as they happen, it would only affect the final round (3rd or 5th) if anything

That is only a relevant tactic in a razor close fight. In a fight this clear, the scorecards would almost have to be prepared to bare results like that.

trying turning the sound down instead of listening to joe rogan!

regardless of how ugly a striker is, do landed pillow hands shots not still count? pendred was busier, apparently leg kicks down count and he landed ten times more than spencer, he controlled the fight in the centre AND against the fence.

    that is all.

Doesn't work. Or at any rate it would need to be a really close fight for it to have any tangeable affect.

First two rounds are already in. Card collector is already grabbing the first scorecard from the first judge just as the buzzer goes, then he quickly goes around grabbing the next two. So, at best, he's got a shot at swaying two of three judges on the final round... assuming they haven't already made up their minds.

No, but BJ said they gave the first fight to Edgar cause his coaches lifted him up and carried him around the ring whilst he threw his arms in the air. Whilst he didn't.
