Nice bump. Ended up getting a sig p238. Literally today just before my state shuts down lol.
I rented it at a gun shop, and it shot not nearly as inaccurate as I thought. Probably double the group size of my double stack 9mm. Still went 20/20 on 9x11 sized targeted at 20 yards. Up closer it was a good point and shooter, which is probably all something this size is meant for anyway. Had one malfunction in 50 rounds which is worrisome, but that rental gun was filthy. Bet it hasn’t been cleaned in well over a year.
Wife didn’t shoot it, she preggers, but liked handling it at the shop and was able to rack it and manipulate controls aside from slide release with one hand. Her thumb won’t reach, but there’s frankly no way to design a gun that she could reach that without massively adjusting her grip.
Ran her through stuff with the one we now own unloaded today. Have some Hornady critical defense cause that’s all shop had. And 50 rounds target I’ll go out to a buddies farmland and shoot this week.
I’ll definitely like it as a summer carry regardless. If she doesn’t end up like shooting it, can always go full sized 22 route at a later date. The little Ruger lcp22 she hated. Safety and slide release far too stiff and small to get thumb purchase on to activate.
