The weight/size difference would be too much.

I'm sure that Jon Jones fans will flood this to tell everyone how he's the single greatest ever in every single facet of the sport, whether it be striking, how much someone can deadlift, who would win in a leglock competition vs. Palhares, etc.

This is why 3rd gen mma fighters and fans don't get respect from Jones. If you say you can beat another man, regardless of who you are, Jones has the right to put you in your place.... period.

You guys worship these guys and act like they can't be checked... get that attitude out of here.

MMA fighters don't deserve respect? Why do you follow this sport?

I'm not sure why people are claiming this is such a ridiculous statement. Lots of smaller guys would be Jones in a straight grappling competition.

    Edited, meant to say Jones.

I don't respect a lot of the fans though, personally.

I guess what gets me is that a lot of these 'fan favorites' hide behind this pseudo-friendly personality and get all these guys on their side, but it's not their true colors (Thomson is a good recent example).

Jones gets shitted on for being 'fake', when in reality, fans just can't identify with him. Like, I don't know, am I way off base here? Just seems like a lot of guys want their ass kissed... if you say you're gonna tap the LHW champion, why should he have to kiss your ass or have the fans agree with you because you're smiling and a supposed 'nice guy'?

I could beat jones...I'm 6'4" and weigh 248 lbs and can bench 495 for 5 reps. There's no way jones could beat me.

Haha... no. I don't even like the guy, but no.

Would Buchecha, Roger, Werdum, and some other guys? Hell yeah. Would Joe Lauzon? Ye...no.

WTF are you talking about? Try watching the video before posting your butthurt rants. Jones is the one who called Lauzon out and Lauzon accepted. Joe also admits that Jones would kill him in an MMA or kickboxing fight.

A lot of guys in the UFC would sub Jones in a grappling match, and Lauzon would be at or near the top of that list.
