burning off loose threads...

burning off some loose threads on my boxing gloves, im wondering if its okay to do it to the inside threads as well. Is there anything that can go horribly wrong from experience? like the glove falls apart instead, erupts in flames, etc.

EDIT: already done, it was completely easy. nothing hard to it

Be quick about it and if a flame stars quickly snuff it out. I'd stay away from the inside.
