I really wonder how compromised our grid and infrastructure is. Obviously there are bits of malicious code laying dormant all over the place, but how extensive is it? How much damage could a foreign nation do in a few day's time?

We really have such a frail and vulnerable system. I'm not really a "prepper" but consider myself fortunate I've created a home and life where I can lay low and survive for a long time.

What I find fascinating is that while those on the right have always decried "crony capitalism" from the rooftops, Trump supporters seem to have this affection and admiration for Putin and want to see the US draw closer to his Russia.

Yet his Russia is like the fucking poster boy of crony capitalism.

A bunch of republicans, John Bolton most recently, say that Obama, led by Clinton's State Department, has overseen eight years of the US being led around by the nose by Russia; just a complete, hapless Russian lap dog. Obama's supposedly been unable to stand up to Putin and has allowed Russia to have her way on the world stage.

Yet Putin felt that a republican, president Trump would be in Russia's best interests.

Fascinating.
