Even back in 2010 we saw that Brock had nothing to offer a quick and conditioned D1 wrestler in Cain when he gassed by ''muscling'' takedowns only to have Cain pop back up and punch him in the face.

Granted Brock is still capable of powering threw weak wrestlers like Hunt but its clear that almost any D1 caliber guy in the division who is efficient with his energy can wreck the vanilla gorilla.

Stipe was ranked 16th at his best during his D1 wrestling days and took Hunt down at will, almost effortlessly most of the time.

Stipe is 40 pounds lighter than Brock's UFC weight and was able to control Hunt much more easily while spending less energy.

He beat the shit out of Hunt and completely nullified him on the ground. What more do you want?

Dude I was rooting for Brock and I am happy he won.... just saying he doesn't stand much of chance against the dudes who can wrestle him back and make him spend a lot of energy quickly.

Prime Brock was like 8 years ago. He took Mir down like he was a flyweight.

well not having a fight in 5 years might play a factor in it.

He hasn't fought in 5 years. Not that I'm disagreeing but... Come on, cut the guy a little slack.

Was interesting to see Greg Nelson in his corner. I thought there was a falling out between them.

You are probably right but all I can remember from the Brock days is the end where he faced a good wrestler (Cain), had him on the fence and wasted energy on a completely useless double leg.

So how is Brock's Lesnar's wrestling less effective than before??? WTF are you talking about.

If he gets guys to respect his standup just a little bit it will make his wrestling that much more dangerous. Mark Hunt was just waiting for the TD and still had problems stopping it.

He's so fucking strong though, if only he could learn to posture up from the mount. I wanna see more smashing, less dribbling.

The division has changed, its not about who is the biggest dude anymore, most top guys are under 250lbs have great grappling efficiency and would give Brock fits.

I wish I could add to the argument, but I was so sure how this fight was going to go, and so, so wrong about it, that I just have to admit defeat. I posted enough posts saying that Hunt would win this one within 1:30, that I'll just take this moment out to eat crow.

I basically agree but ya hes been out for a long time and even still he had some sweet TDs especially that first one i think it was

Yeah If anything I was dissapointed in Hunt not letting his hands go. We all know the TD is on the way.
