Brock Lesnar Says WWE and UFC are The Same Racket; WWE Is Just Better At It

lesnar obviously been hit in the head with a chair too many times.

and lesnar realizes that the wwe doesn't do ppvs anymore right? or are there still retarded wwe fans that buy the events separately for $60 instead of just signing up for the wwe network?

so he didn't actually say Vince is better like the other thread suggested?

fucking shertards and their journalism skills (lack of)

Vince was involved in wrestling since he was a kid, inherited it from his father. Of course he is better promoter and all that, there is no doubt. 2 different markets though. 1 is at it's peak and 1 has only been going global the last decade or 2.

So you're blaming sherdoggers because you didn't take the time to read the article or watch the video yourself?

There's just more small minded people that are taken by the soap opera-esque pageantry.

I used to work with a guy who was into pro wrestling but absolutely recoiled at the mention of MMA. I asked him why he liked wrestling and not MMA. He said he wasn't going to watch or support people being murdered for sport. This guy was like 50.

100% Agree but WWE is fake and has been around for about 40 years soo theres that too.

ALso...

He never should have come back after he had half his intestines taken out.

The WWE has been going for a hell of a lot longer than the UFC. The WWE also has a larger audience, because it is perceived to be more child-friendly. Due to these circumstances, it's not even fair to compare the two.

This. Families are way more likely to let their kids watch WWE then the UFC.

People I know, turn their nose up at MMA, they think it's a violent no-rule fight to the death. Despite never having watched an event, and being wilfully ignorant of the ruleset.

These same people have no quarrel with their kid watching people jump off of ladders and hit each other with weapons, though. (Not a knock against WWE, loved that shit growing up)

Lesnar is very smart in this sense.
And he is right.

Dana tries the same tactics that WWE does. The only difference is that WWE scripts the feuds and fights. Dana has to work with what is presented to him by circumstances.

So obviously it is easier for the WWE folks.

Fights are not the same thing as staged fights.

Full-contact fights are not the same thing as athletic dudes jumping off ropes and pretending to punch each other while stomping the ground to make a sound effect.

There is no similarity.

Entertainment is the only middle-ground, and it's such a different style of entertainment you might as well call Grant Mitchell 'punching' Phil Mitchell 5 times in Eastenders 'on par' with MMA.

WWE is a soap-opera. UFC has a similar soap opera vibe sometimes with forced feuds etc, but the fight is a FIGHT. WWE is never, NEVER, an actual fight.
